I stayed here for five days with my mother. The place is clean and safe. Bin Chen was very friendly and gave us a very comprehensive introduction to the room when we arrived, so there was no confusion about any aspect of it, even in spite of her limited English. The building is close to Termini (about 10 minutes' walk...

So, my boyfriend and I decided to stay here during our tour of Italy. We made the reservations quite a while in advance and, as we were coming directly from Asia, accidentally booked ourselves off by a day. So, we arrived a day early and had a pretty scary experience! First of all, it took us forever to find it...

Great budget location close to the train station. Very clean, basic furnishings, ensuite full bathroom. Bin Chen the hostess goes out of her way to make sure you have all the info you need. They've even prepared a binder of maps and tourist information. She was very helpful in helping me recieve a package. Free internet in the next room,...

A nice little B&B in an incredibly central location, although the surrounding area is a tad seedy, all the main sights are within walking distance and the area is still perfectly safe (the B&B also has 3 locked doors between the rooms and the street!) The room was clean and the bathroom well kitted out... it is of course basic,...

The place is located very close to Roma Termini which is why we booked it but we weren't exactly very pleased with our stay( 3 nights). It could be because we have stayed in better B&B's. The hostess is alright, she is helpful. The owners stay on the premises and there are security cameras all over the alley/passage which is...

The place was amazing. I had no complaints during my stay. (caveat: I came in January, so I don't know about the heat in summer) The room was spotless. There are three sets of locks separating you from the street so it is very secure (you are given a set of keys) There are only 3 rooms for rent. I...

We stayed here for 3 nights when we first arrived in Italy. Our hostess, Bin, (speaks Mandarin, Italian and some English) was very helpful. She supplied a good map, gave directions to all the top places to visit and told us how to get to the best gelato shop in all of Italy…which was very close by: Giovanni Fassi! The...

This gem is located just a very few blocks from the Termini in Rome - an easy walk with rolling luggage. There are only 3 rooms/apartments to rent here but the one we were in was spotless, generous, with small frig and private bath - and a wireless set-up computer for guest use - great for checking emails! It is...

We enjoyed our stay at Le Rose di Bi (3 nights) immensely. The room was great, but we did have a few hot water issues which have been highlighted by other reviewers here. Don't expect a fantastic breakfast, it is basically fruit, yogurt and a selection of breakfast cakes/biscuits, but when you can go out and get a couple of...

I just stayed at Le Rose di Bi for a week and only have positive things to say about it! My room was spacious, the bathroom was new, everything was impeccably clean, the bed was comfortable, and they have all the little amenities you look for when traveling -- mini-fridge, electric kettle, WiFi, a computer for guest use, flat-screen TV...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
