Originally we were supposed to be staying at the Panda hotel (108 euro a night), but they hadn't booked our reservation. I could have died! Anywho, the guy on the desk said he would send us to the Okapi which was 300m from Panda and would upgrade our rooms (180euro a night if you wanted this room) to one with...

Okapi rooms is really just rooms. There are not a lot of extra services, no breakfast room or mini bar, etc. The rooms were spic and span clean, the rooms and hotel were nice and secure and well located. Comfy beds and pretty quiet - even in a room facing the street. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. If...

Lovely little hotel in good location for walking to main sites in Rome. Clean, nicely decorated and we had our own balcony and compact, but nice bathroom with good shower. Very good value for the location compared to other places in Rome.

This hotel is located in the "old historical" center of Rome. The location is within walking distance to most of the sites in Rome. It was our first time to Rome and we had a great time. I am on the fence as to whether or not I would stay at this hotel again. In the price range of $300/night...

Short walk to metro and in a nice neighborhood close to Spanish Steps shopping and restaurants, this hotel was clean, safe and fairly quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. If light sleeper, ask for room not near entry as some noise can be heard from stairs and reception. Our room had a private terrace and was good sized by European...

Having booked cheap flights to Rome we had great difficulty in finding a hotel that was within walking distance of the sights, didn't have mixed reviews and was at a reasonable price. We looked in the Lonely Planet which stated that Panda Rooms was the best budget hotel in the historic centre but unfortunately they were fully booked, however they...

I was pleasanlty surprised about the locaiton of he hotel. The hotel is behind the Santa Maria del Poppolo church. You can basiacally walk everywhere from the Trevi fountain to Spanish Steps to...

I loved this hotel. Great location, near Piazza del Popolo, less than 5 minutes from Flaminio underground station, but you don't really need to take the underground because you can walk practically everywhere. The staff is great, specially Petronella and Melchior, they were lovely. The rooms and bathrooms have been recently refurbished and they are great, big and clean. They...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina.
