The positives were definitely the location; you could easily get to all the main attractions by foot. The restaurants in the area are also nice. We found the staff of the hotel very nice, too. The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed and tidy bathroom. We were provided with some all over shampoo and soap, so remember... More

We visited this hotel on 2016 Jan. I can allocate more than one star. For a great price we received an excellent hotel. Very pleasant woman gave a map and everything in great detail told about places to visit and all the other things. Breakfast - sweet and such as are required, if you spend all day on foot in... This very small hotel is located in a non-descript apartment building -- so it is hard to find. Luckily, two very nice Romans stopped and helped point us in the right direction. It was an easy walk from the Termini train station. It has an elevator (small), which was nice, too. The room was small, very clean and comfortable. It... More

The so called hotel is located in the city center somewhere close to the train station. Please be aware that it is not very close to the main attractions. In fact, I would not choose this neighbourhood if I would come to Rome again. This is not like a usual two or three star "hotel" you are used to see... More

Decent location and friendly staff. Room was clean, if small. The bathroom was pretty tiny as well which made life a bit difficult at times. For the price we paid though it was a fair enough compromise. The main issue was the air con that was no where near powerful enough. The room was way too warm for most of... More

It is a little bit difficult to find, but it is already explained in the websites. Very nice atmosphere in the building. Nostalgic and Roman. The room was very clean, efficiently warm for a winter day. We had a small window where we can watch the street. The room was silent, well designed and has an amazing ceiling. Breakfast in... More

The hotel is very closed to Colosseum, it is hard to find because there is no sign with the name of it, it is situated at the 3rd floor of a building. The breakfast was delicious, expecially the coffee. The rooms are very beautiful with paitings on the ceiling. +++ The receptionsts were very kind and smiling.

This hotel is unlike any other I've stayed in but we loved it. We had a good sized triple room with a painted ceiling, decent ensuite and flat screen tv plus fridge, safe and air conditioning. Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
