Location of the B&B was perfect, and the room we had was very clean and comfortable. Oh, and free wifi! Located in a quaint and quiet area of Rome, this B&B was a great place to stay at, and Lucia & Paolo were great hosts! Definitely recommend this B&B if you are looking for a sweet getaway on a budget.

Unfortunately I was only able to stay for a night but could have happily stayed for much longer. Room is comfortable and location couldn't be better. Would definitely recommend as a great base for exploring Rome, particularly the Trastevere side of the river.

The lovely lady that welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. Location is great in brilliant Trastevere. The famous pizzeria Dar Poeta is just 20 metres from the B&B, do not miss! Basic room with basic breakfast. However, the price is fair for what you get. But make sure you get the room without connecting doors. There are 3 rooms...

We stayed here for 4 nights. We arrived late, but the owner waited for us and let us in. The room is very basic, furnished with IKEA things. The walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors all the time. The common area had some cereal and fruit for breakfast. The fruit was all old and rotten. Nobody...

We arrived late, got on a shuttle bus from the airport. It dropped us off almost by the door of the b&b, very fine. We had informed the staff on email that we would arrive late, and had also texted them when we left the airport. So a man was waiting for us outside the b&b, no problem. They charge...

Right in the heart of Trastevere close to a wide range of excellent bars, pizzerias and ristorantes. Excellent accommodation and the breakfast foods were topped up each day. Loved the müsli. Fresh milk and juice each day and an easy to use espresso machine. The only criticism I would have is that the confirmation email and the info on laterooms...

We spent two nights in Rome and really liked the location: Surrounded by bars and restaurants but still quiet. Rooms are ok, we skipped the breakfast and preferred coffee and fresh food outside. Staff was very nice and helpful and they helped us a lot with flexible check out time (we ran a halfmarathon and we could use the showers...

The location of this B&B is great. Not far off the tram to the rest of Rome in quaint Trastevere. The room we had was clean, comfortable and quiet. The "breakfast" leaves a little to be desired, but that is the case everywhere in Italy. All in all a very good place to stay to enjoy Rome. The owners were...

We stayed in the studio apartment on the 1st floor with private entrance. It was perfect for us. Large bathroom and modern kitchenette with charming details. Daily housekeeping and replenished continental breakfast items, which we hadn't expected. We had international phone issues, so headed straight to the apartment from the airport, via train and tram no.8. A friendly neighbor assisted...

A nice small B&B in a great location in the heart of Trastevere where there are many choices to eat and drink. And of course Rome is small so you can walk everywhere. We stayed in the Sculptore room. Small but had everything we needed. Fridge, safe, hot water and it was clean. Also good wifi connection. The only negative things...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
