Good price but quite disappointing. The room was clean but not comfortable, the bathroom was tiny and had no shower box. The room was extremely noisy at night because of the traffic nearby ( ground floor!). TV set not working ( not connected to a...More
Wish we had read the Hoquester review before booking this hotel...The passport viasco is real, luckily our passports stayed in our hands. No telephone and a "maintenance" man used a key to gain admittance to our room without knocking. Buyer beware!!!!! We were two women...More
The only two redeeming qualities of this hotel are the location to the train station and the low price. You must know what you're getting for the low low cost is not much. My wife and I stayed here in April 2014 right before Easter...More
We booked with Eurostar Hotel for 4 nights online for a 10% discount. When we arrived, we were taken across to this hotel and told they would take us as the other hotel has "maintenance issues", but they are both owned by the same person....More

Esquilino / Castro Pretorio

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
