We found after some troubles this Hotel without a proprer plate outside. It's not a small hotel after all but no signs outside. We walked in and a young asian guy checked us in. Our room was clean and everything was fine. Quite chheap and easy going. Breakfast included and quite abundant.

The only negative comments are that the shower was hot/cold on occasion, and the room heater would come on even though I switched it off! But I would stay again and the location is perfect if you want to be able to access the main train station (Termini) and the underground.

We chose this hotel for location, reputation (in Fodor's!) and value. It was a wonderful base for our 7 days vacation. The hotel was tastefully decorated and clean in every area we saw. Rooms were ample and comfortable-we had a double and a triple. Daily breakfast presented a variety of foods both warm (bacon, eggs) and cold (yogurt, cereal, pastries),...

Couldn't recommend it more! Very clean, new or recently renovated, with well-tasted modern furnishings and fabrics. It is located just outside Termini station where you can find buses and metro for everywhere in Rome. About 20 minutes walk from Colosseo or Fontana di Trevi. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. There is a map at the reception and you...

Booked this hotel based mainly on cost. Unsure of the exact location (having never been to rome before) Arrived to find the hotel within easy walking distance of Termini train station. We were allocated room 605 and directed to an adjoining building. Don't worry about this it's literally next door. Got to our room and found a massive room (for...

Hotel is modern, clean, fresh. The location is near Termini station which is vaguely convenient but industrial feeling with homeless people milling around. The hotel has great security but I would recommend looking for budget hotels around the Spanish Steps area (ie: Hotel Condotti). The Spanish Steps themselves are extensively overrated but the area is really wonderful to people watch,...

I never, ever write reviews but I am so thankful for all the reviews before me as they were so helpful, I feel compelled to share my experience. Yes Hotel is the BEST location. The hotel is modern and functional, but very clean; reception staff were very helpful and spoke very good English; the breakfast buffet is extensive (maybe the toaster was a bit on the temperamental side...), the beds were very comfortable, the room was big enough. The Via Magenta is a quiet side street, which means that noise isn't a big problem...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
