We stayed at Laura's b&b for five nights. We chose this accommodation because of the positive reviews and we were not disappointed. Laura was an outstanding host, she helped us work out how to use the metro and tram, she gave us confidence in using Italian, she recommended places to eat and buy food. The bedroom was clean and linen/towels...

Perfect for a little weekend...

We had the room with private bathroom. The room was spacious and shower just right. Very clean and general, gave a very good feeling. What we especially enjoyed were the little touches. For example, there were two pillows the first night and me and my husband use phone, tabs in bed and need at least two pillows. We did not...

Everything was perfect. From our arrangements of arrival to the help of our everyday needs, the staff was caring and ready to help with anything. Our room had a shared bathroom and that was never a problem. The bedroom was neat, comfortable bed and beautiful decor. There was a small terrace to sit and read and spend down time (if...

Likewise the bathrooms. Breakfast is as comprehensive as good - croissants, toast, bread, Cake, jam, Proscuitto and cheese. All you can ask for. And of...

This bed and breakfast was fantastic! When we arrived,Laura- the owner- greeted us and immediately gave us a map of the city and showed us where everything was and gave recommendations for good places to eat. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the Colosseum and only 2 quick blocks away from one of the metro stations, which...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Aldebaran b&b, situated in the heaart of Rome, was born in March 2006 in Laura Tiberi's family house. It all started with her imagination, from souvenirs of trips made, and the historical memory to which this place belongs. The idea was to create a unique location, full of charm decorated with warm colors and styles, between the private dwelling and a real and refined hospitality. Breakfast is served in a quiet and bright living room where you can breathe an atmosphere which makes you feel at home but in a mixture of cultures and languages. The homemade bread, the water taken directly from the source, the aroma of our coffee "espresso", a delicious cappuccino, made from a special recipe and other delicacies, make the start of your day a unique moment together with the sympathy of Laura who is always eager to give you valuable information and important tips to discover the beauties and treasures of the Eternal City ... more   less
