We chose this hotel for our second visit to Rome. Having already spent time in the historic centre of town, we were more interested in a place near the very hip Trastevere neighbourhood. In spite of being located outside the area with all the restaurants and pubs, it was still very noisy. Some would say that Rome is always noisy,...

My husband and I had a 2 night stay at Tamara's Suites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A driver was waiting for us at the airport upon arrival. The ladies were wonderful and we had breakfast each morning as arranged. They also arranged for a taxi to take us to our cruise ship. Very authentic and recommend it...

very nice b&b on the second floor. Located in the middle of Trastevere, where you can find many restaurants and bars. The owner was very nice and gave us tipps on sightseeing... We did everything by foot.

My sister and I stayed here for three nights. The owner was very nice and helpful. The location was excellent. It was only a three minute walk from Piazza di Santa Maria. The rooms were clean and spacious. However, we didn't get the breakfast at the hotel, we went and got it at nice cafes around. I highly recommend thid...

This is the second time my friend and I returned to Valerio and Federico's bed and breakfast. We just love it here! This is the place to be as you're close to main attractions, and Trastevere has an amazing charm. Tamara's suites have comfortable beds most importantly; clean rooms. There's a sweet lady who prepares your breakfast in the morning...

I stayed here with my college age daughter over Spring Break. She was studying in Northern Italy for a semester, so we met in Rome for a week's holiday. We were very happy with Tamara's Suites. The two brothers who run it were very helpful with directions, recommendations, etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location is ideal. When...

Not much to say about this hotel. Clean, spacious rooms with a great location in Piazza San Cosimato (right near a Fatamorgana with their amazing gelato) in Trastevere. Maybe because we were there in the shoulder season, but we barely saw anyone in the hotel aside from the taciturn lady who gave us our breakfast in the morning. Would I...

Just got back from a three night stay at Tamara's Suites, really enjoyed the friendly service, spacious and very clean room, good location and............great price. One thing that impressed me was the security of the building, because it isn't staffed at night you need 4 keys to get into the building and your room then a key for the safe...

Tamara's suites was the perfect accommodation for my stay in Rome. A friendly guesthouse with amazing service from the two brothers that run the place. They were always willing and able to assist with anything. Rooms are super clean and spacious. Trastevere is definitely the neighborhood to stay in, with all the nice restaurants and vibrant atmosphere. Make sure to...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
