Really nice hotel, great locatioin, very clean, very helpful and friendly staff, very safe and quiet location and very close to Termini and a lot of Rome's attractions.

This was one of the nicest, cleanest B&B's I have ever stayed in. You cannot get better value for money than this place... The location of the residence is excellent. Guide books mention that the accommodation around Termini are sleazy. However, Palma is located on the Via Marsala side of Termini and it is in a very nice part of...

Found the Palma Residence from web-sit WORLDBY.COM Palma Residence is in a fairly safe neighborhood about 4 blocks from the train station. The partitions inbetween the rooms are tissue paper thin. This is not overstating the situation. You can hear the people in the next room whispering. Everyone in the place might as well be in one giant room. The...

We stayed at the Palma Residence for one night on May 24th. We arrived in Rome by train and walked the 3 blocks to the B&B. This was our first B&B experience in Europe and were unsure what exactly to expect. We were extremely pleased. We had a room with a private bathroom. The entire place was spotless. They provided...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
