This is a great place to stay. If you can't afford a hotel but want something better than a hostel, this is your place. Came with breakfast included, which was awesome. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Was visiting Rome for my 1st year anniversary and the owner recommended a FANTASTIC restaurant for celebratory dinner. We had fantastic memories here, would stay...

We had a really pleasant stay. The part of the hotel we were in had obviously been recently upgraded. It was clean and modern and a really good place to put your head down after a long day exploring the delights of Rome. Very close to the train terminus and with the Roma Pass we purchased we made good use...

This hotel, located in a residential building, was selected by a friend of ours (we traveled with two other couples). Within blocks of the central Termini station and shopping there, but if you like walking, you can get to the Colosseum and forum with a brisk stroll. Location, friendliness and responsiveness of the staff, and clean larger room were pluses....

Stayed here for 5 days Feb 2012. Horrible place. There was no heating and i had to sleep in my coat to keep warm as they only provid two thin sheets on the bed (which is an old fold up spring mattress) The tv only has a few italian, arab and indian channels so being english that was no good...

Arrived, found the after a while as the marking is not the best. Two facilities with separate entrance in one building. The receptionist told us they cancelled our reservation as they have a group of children they had to accomodate. Even if we had confirmation and paid reservation fee. Of course, they didn't let us know. They offered us a...

We were looking for a place to stay for a night to catch a train for the next day and this place fit the bill. It is very close to the train station and even though the area is not the nicest, it feels very safe and is gated with video cameras. The room was very clean and looked liked...

Just recently got back from my first trip to Paris. I traveled with a friend and had a wonderful time and decided on settling on this location for my last night prior to my departure back to the U.S. Finding this "hotel" was the first problem. There is no clear signage and is located on a major corner with other...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
