We stayed here for 5 days in a double room on the second floor with a great sea view. The building started off as a sanatorium for sick poor children from Rome, so has the feeling of a huge institution with long corridors and wards. The Germans occupied it during the war. But now it has been warmed up with...

To reiterate another reviewer, this is Lido Ostia, not Rome. Easy to access 30 minutes from Rome via train from Porta San Paulo. This is a separate line connected to the Trenitalia station through the Piramide Metro station, and bus stop. Trains on this line only travel to/from Lido Ostia and are a cultural experience. Follow the signs to Porta...

It's just a hostel. It's not anywhere near anything you'd want to see. As a family of four, we had to book a whole room if we wanted our privacy and that meant that the price (120 euros plus 12 euros city tax, which I don't really believe. In Rome proper we paid 2 euros a night and nothing for...

I dont like writing bad reviews for places, but I cant help but do so for Litus. There was nothing positive about my stay in this hostel. While I was prepared to do a bit of traveling to get into the city of Rome, it took us on average about 1 hour and 20 mins to get into and out...

Litus Roma was clean, and the staff was generally very friendly. Breakfast was ok. The rooms were clean, but cold. Overall not a bas hostel EXCEPT the location is terrible!! Prepare yourself for a long train ride into Rome with two connections! Me and my friends are very good ad figuring out metro and train stations but we had a...

My son and I spent 2 nights at Litus. We arrived from Termini and found the bus drivers at the Lido Centro WAY less than helpful--- I speak a tiny bit of Italian, lots of German and English--- They defiantly said they only speak "Roman"--whatever-- y'all lost your empire 1800 years ago. We took a cab (he stole 3 euro...

This hostel is ok. It is clean, and the morning staff are ok. There is this african guy (night shift) who is very rude. He did not want to help me, he said he was working all day and that he was tired, he screamed at me. VERY RUDE! The other two ladies were rude too. Be careful, don't stay...
