I was there with my family and we were sceptical when we saw the entrance since it reminded us of a hostel. However, the room we got was incredibly beautiful. The location is perfect since it is walking distance from St Peter's cathedral and the tube. Would stay there again.

we had a very good stay there! the staff was very kind! the room was nice with it's italian style. very clean. Even though we had a room with window to the big street it was quiet, we didn't hear the traffic sound. the breakfast was simple and good. We didn't miss anything. The metro is just a short walk...

This is not a hotel, it's a low quality B&B. It's in a building where other people live so you have to ring the door to get in, the stairs smell, the "hotel" itself has the rooms right next to the reception counter where you can count on the service of employees that barely speak English. I know not the...

We enjoyed staying at this small hotel close to the Vatican and only one hundred metres from Ottavio Metro station. We were able to walk to many of the attractions, the Vatican is only ten minutes. Plenty of Restaurants nearby, we particularly enjoyed Pasterelle, turn left out of the hotel, the restaurant is 80 metres on the same side (no...

Lovely accommodation and helpful reception. Room service was minimal and breakfasts quite poor-same food regurgitated each day-stale cornflakes and warm milk. No fresh fruit when we were there though there had been some stale looking fruit on our first morning. Would recommend you buy your own!

I booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend. It was a quiet place inside the city limits to get a good night's sleep. It's location is a one minute walk to a metro stop. The metro trip from Termini Station was 8 minutes, which was very easy. It was a little tough to find the place because the sign...

We stayed here in February and couldn't have asked for a more helpful staff. My bag was both delayed and then items were missing upon arrival. Staff helped draft a letter for the italian police to read in italian and called a solicitor in to give me advice free of charge. They made helpful recommendations for the rest of the...

I gave this hotel a poor review at the beginning of September but my review never posted. I arrived at the hotel on August 30, was asked to pay immediately, paid, and was promptly informed that we were "in partenza," i.e. departing for the hotel. I said what??? "Yes, you are staying in another hotel." We walked a few blocks...

Good location with affordable and unique shopping for men and women. Interesting rooms, although antique like. TINY shower in our room but the water pressure and temperature in the shower was great. The air conditioning is a problem. We were alright as there the first of October but would have been horrible in the summer. Max at the front desk...

This hotel has the friendliest (and very knowledgeable) reception staff and felt quite welcomed during our arrival. We managed to check it earlier too. The receptionist took the time to draw out a map and offer tips on moving about etc (which was quite a refreshing change considering our stay at most european hotels). The rooms were slightly disspointing (some...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“Rooms at the front overlook a busy road so as long as you're happy to keep the windows closed with air con on you'll be fine. We asked for a quiet room which faced north, at the back, but it was cooler and had a little terrace.”
