We spent four wonderful days in Rome and Kimama had to do with that as well. The room was huge, comfortable and having an own kitchen is such a great advantage! The apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything needed to cook in if you want. Our two kids enjoyed the stay as much as we did. The area in...

Kimama is a super charming and cosy B&B with helpful and really friendly staff! Location is exellent with the heart of lovely Trastevere just a couple of minutes walk away and also the whole city is easy to access by foot from here. Simply a great choice if plan a trip to Rome.

Last weekend, stayed at Kimama for 2 nights on a quick weekend trip to Rome, first time in a B&B and absolutely had a delightful experience. It was as if you are staying in local's home rather than a standard hotel room with foreigners. Location was great in Trastevere, close to Tram 8, which runs every 5 minutes leading to...

We stayed at the Kimama B&B with our 2 kids (6yo and 4yo), for a winter getaway in Rome. We actually got an apartment with a huge bathroom (bathtub included, which is hard to find in Rome, where the kids could have long baths splashing water), a huge bedroom with a double bed + two single beds, and a very...

Gorgeous place in the middle of Trastevere. We were given the apartment which can sleep 4 so was luxurious for two of us. Lovely decor and comfy bed end extremely helpful host Raffaella who pointed us in the direction of excellent local restaurants.

From when I started to learnt about Roman history at the age of 10 in 1940, I wanted to experience how the Romans lived while absorbed this history on site. On this visit, my expectations were fully realised by the end of the week. I was fortunate in my location, my accommodation and my hostess. It was a memorable week.

We were lucky to get the room with the large kitchen. Very well maintained by Enzo and his wife, kimama is a great place to stay. Our host, Raphaella, was wonderful- very warm, friendly and helpful. Trastevre is a great location and is very vibrant. Would definitely recommend this b&b for a great stay in rome.

My friend and I stayed at Kimama for 4 nights at the end of July. The room was clean, had good A/C, and there was more than enough food for breakfast for the two of us. The location is really great too; Trastevere is a lively neighborhood with lots of good food, and we used the tram or the bus...

We never expected to get such a big apartment on a B&B hotel. In addition to a big bedroom, you get a well equipped kitchen and a giant, wonderful bathroom. The hotel itself is extremely central, and you can reach most famous attractions by walking in minutes. I'd recommend this hotel to any group of 3-4 people.

We really enjoyed staying at Kimama. The room was very clean, and came equipped with a small table and chairs for eating, a mini-fridge, a personal espresso-maker, a large flat screen TV, big comfy bed, and a beautifully tiled bathroom. The view out the window was of the apartment complex courtyard, giving an authentic roman feel. The room had heating...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
