A really nice b&b with the best location in Rome. Good restaurants around and good service from the hosts. We loved it! Walking distance to all the things worth seeking in the city. Good coffe in the room to get a good start of the day.

We spent six nights at Kimama in early May and couldn't have been happier with the choice. The location right on the edge of historical Trastevere is fantastic, with many restaurants, cafes, and shops just a few minutes' walk away. Central Rome and the Vatican are also walking distance, so we found we hardly needed to use any other kind...

We had a great stay at Kimama ! It is perfectly located, right in the heart of trastevere (attractions are 2 km away Forum, coliseum, Vatican) ; all the bars and restaurant are 5 minutes walks ! Perfect ! As per the accommodation; we booked a standard room but got upgraded to a suite which was a very spacious apartment,...

We decided to stay in Rome a few extra nights so we needed another facility since our room was booked. Found kimama on booking .com. Sounded OK given we were in area. But.....the fun begins. Apt is basically Street level new construction across St. Very noisy. Was not informed. Issues with plumbing and than elevator broke. Moving lots of luggage...

We had a flat with a big kitchen, a spacious bedroom and a huge bathroom. For a week it was really good to have that space, we walked to go everywhere but the public transport are 2minutes, the heart of Trastevere by foot was only 5minutes (restaurants...) Raffaella and her staff are really nice, and the cleaning is due everyday...

Very small B&B, only two rooms and a suite. Good location in Trastevere, close to restaurant area, but not in a noisy street. Our room had a personal decoration and a good atmosphere. Bed was good and bathroom worked well. Friendly owner. Every morning we got a simple breakfast, there are also bakeries and cafes close. Only minus: The a/c...

I chose this place as a quick stopover before I left to visit my friend who lives just outside of Rome. Because of the Rome airport fire, my flight was delayed and rerouted to Naples. I was a bit frazzled about being so late but they were so accommodating even when I showed up to check in around midnight. The...

As I sit having breakfast on y last morning at Kimama, I'm wishing I could stay longer. Lovely big apartment, all the facilities you could need in the kitchen, continental breakfast, plenty to eat. Better than a fancy hotel, it's in a residential apartment so I feel like a 'local' . It's in a great location for restaurants and the...

Centrally located in Trastevere, within 2 minutes walking distance of the bar and restaurant district of Rome. Very clean, decently furnished and renovated, with a do-it-yourself breakfast. Ask the owner for restaurant hints, they were great.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
