My husband only rated this hotel 3 stars but I have given it 4. I was impressed with the cleanliness & decor of the room we stayed in, considering the low price we paid. We stayed for 4 nights & it was our second cheapest hotel on our Italy trip! It is near the train station which was convenient for...

We stayed here as a couple for 4 nights as part of our Italian tour. The hotel is easy enough to find from the train station, a few minutes walk east down a main road then one side road. The luccis reception is in hotel des artiste, as is the breakfast and the roof garden. The staff are impersonal, but...

We stayed a total of 3 nights at Hotel Lucci, broken up into 2 stays. Our first stay was decent. The room is small and furnishings are bare, but it was adequate. Do note that the room does not come with a kettle or tea/coffee making facilities of any sort. Only the bare essentials are provided at Hotel Lucci. We...

This is a great little hotel. It is reasonably priced and a short walk to the underground. Very nice accommodating people it includes breakfast. Plenty of great eating establishments within a block and other quick food eateries across the street and down the street. I recommend this for anyone who is planning on spend most of their time away from...

SCAM I booked this place 3 weeks before departure it was quite pricet but I'd read the reviews & thought why not, I was told that it's on 1st & 2nd floor without a lift...I was also told that I had to check in at the hotel next door (Hotel Des Artistes) & breakfast would be there as well, which...

A spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable room, with excellent double glazing to keep out the noise of a typical Roman street below. Really comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast next door with plenty of choice - eat as much as you like. Helpful staff at reception which is manned 24 hours a day. Good security. No free wi-fi though. Small-ish room,...

Better than what I was expecting! Bathroom was particularly spacious. Good restaurant recommendations from the staff and good service overall. Only here for 1 night after a very long flight, but would gladly come back again.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights as the first part of our honeymoon in November 2008. It took me a while to write this review but we really enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is very close to the Termini station (about 5 minutes walk), so if you arrive from the airport with the Ryanair...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
