Small hotel with small rooms .We have room about 15 m2 big -maximum but clean. When you pay 180 euros for standard room ,four days with breakfast (april 2015) you can not expect a lot. Relatively good location, solid breakfast. Rome is too beautiful to stay too long in hotel.

We had a really small double room right next to the reception and there was a lot of noise during all the time of our stay. Breakfast was ok, just the basics. Room was clean. The walking distance from the hotel to the nearest Metro station was 5 minutes and a 10 minute walk to the termini station and Colosseum.

Booked in here for 7 nights and had an enjoyable stay. I knew it was a 3 star rated hotel so I have no real complaints to speak of. My room was in the annexe which meant that you were allowed access by means of the receptionist remotely opening an external gate and then the annexe door. I soon got...

Hotel is clean. convenient to metro. As has been said ...area not the best. Breakfast was limited for me, as I am vegetarian. However, there was cereal, bread, rolls, meats, cheese, sweet croissants, jams....so for price paid , it was very good value. There is also a patio/ garden in which to have breakfast. That was lovely. Think staff could try...

Stayed for 3 nights. Good points: Room and bathroom was simple but clean. Only 5 minute walk to metro 2 minute walk to shop Limited breakfast choice but what was available was of good quality and tasted nice. Bad points: Room was very very noisy as we were right by the stairs and we were woken every morning by everyone...

The rooms.are clean but small. Bed is not that comfortable. Breakfast very basic but tasty. Area not the best and its near China town. NO bar, restaurant, sitting room. Metro station is nearby. Worst is that there is.no elevator. However the rooms are quiet. Really pissed off at the end, where we had to pay 4€ per person per night...

Double bedded rooms are unthinkably small, breakfast room is stuffy, very very low standard breakfast menu, even there is no menu....but they charge per person per night 4 EUR as city/ tourist tax.. This is no matching for money paid, At least close to Metro station- Manzoni

Cheap and clean is the best compliment I can pay this hotel. There is no bar or restaurant and the location is not the best so if you want to drink / eat out then you need to book a taxi. However, don't ask the people on reception to book a taxi for you as they have a tendency of...

The hotel is 10 min walk from the Mazoni station. It is a nice neighborhood. The room is nice, however the shower is quiet small. The breakfast is really nice and people working there are nice as well.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
