This place is fricking awesome! Lovely rooms with a shared bathroom for the corridor which had the best showers I've used all trip. The nightlife is insane, everyone just goes to the hostels bar across the street where's cool bar staff, great music and a good vibe. The drinks aren't the cheapest but it's not extortionate compared to local bars....

The yellow is the best hostel I have ever been to and possibly the best I will ever go to. I stayed in a 4 bedroom share with its own bathroom, the beds were comfortable and full sized, and private lockers within the rooms. The yellow also offers great night life in its "square" creating a good social environment.

This hostel has one of the best bars in Rome. It is a great place to meet other travellers and is an epic party. Have stayed here twice now once on my own and once with friends and would stay again. The amenities are good, has everything you need, good wifi, but the price is a little higher than your...

I have another night before I leave but The Yellow has been incredible. It's close enough to every bus stop you'd need to do anything you want in Rome and the staff all speak English well enough to help you with any problem you might have. The showers are a bit small and the rooms get warm because the A/C...

if you have budget concern, then it's a nice option for you to consider. it's 10 minutes walk from Termini, but it's near another metro station named "Castro Pretorio". the private room has nothing but a bed and private bathroom, and you may hear some noise since they have a bar, but if you are only looking for a private...

I'm writing this in my first day of 4 in The Yellow Hostel. I was in the club of the hostel across the street and a guy, that was not a guest on the hostel, offered me a drink. I did not drink, but only talked to the Italian man and his friends at the bar. They look dangerous. So...

I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a Contiki tour. One night was part of the tour in which I stayed in a 4 bed en-suite and the second night I booked via Hostelbookers.com in a 12 bed shared dorm. The yellow is spread out over 3 buildings. I stayed in two of the three. I had...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
