First off - you cant find this place. You need to pitch up at Hotel Atlante to check in. Then they put us in a room that is three blocks away from the hotel, in a basement of a building. The breakfast was OK, but the advertised Free wifi in room was not there. The room was dark, damp, with... More

We stayed here with 2 children (3,12). We ordered triple room. We got apartment 602 - which is not in the hotel Atlante Star - is block away. In hotel Atlante Star we did check-in and check-out and had breakfast on 6 floor with amazing view. The apartment was big - 2 rooms and also kitchen which was not mentioned... More

I stayed with family in the Apartment block of this hotel. Good for stay with Family with two kids. Excellent location with most of the places within walking distance. Vintage Lift, rooms etc provides unique experience of staying in property which is truly old; which is really a good experience. Breakfast is below average. Recommended for two reasons - proximity... Stayed here in May and the 'hotel' is actually, Hotel Atlante? Then they take you a block away to some dingy set of rooms. Too bad as the hotel itself looked nice but the 'B&B' part of this establishment is drab, has no wifi access, a large number of keys to haul around for doors and gate. The room had... More

Room was very clean with comfortable beds and was serviced daily. Room photos on the internet are a little deceiving but we didn't mind. Amazing buffet breakfast was offered next door at the Atalante Star Hotel top floor restaurant, which had incredible 360 degree views from its rooftop. Great for photos. Location was in walking distance from the Vatican. Everything... More

Great location, lovely breakfast, big room, 2 tvs, kitchen, bubblebath. On the other side - stained sofa, stains on the protectionsheet (which I left a note for the cleaners to change, didnt happen), electric hazards everywhere, I would never have stayed there with kids if I had some, obvious water damage on surrounding bathroom walls. The showet head is in... More

If you like quiet, antiques, slightly shabby genteel place, this is for you...One has to check in at the Hotel Atlantic Star, as this is the B & B version. Three rooms only, thru a hidden doorway...not v accessible for mobility problems. Clean. Jacuzzi bath. No AC. Minibar. Breakfast is at the Hotel. Take advantage of the magnificent terrace. Usual... We stayed for three nights. For us, this is the best value BNB with nice view and wonderful service, especially restaurant staff. They are very friendly, polite and helpfull. The room was small as well as bathroom. It's better without bathtub than too small bathtub. A bit difficult to keep the bathroom clean and dry because of the shower :-)... More

We loved our stay at the La Maison Royale. It's located in an apartment block next to the hotel that provides breakfast etc. The room was very large and comfortable and had a lovely view. Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
