I booked this on Expedia, and after I already paid, I got an email from the owner saying my price did not include towels, so if I wanted them, it would be an extra 3 euros per person, which we had to take her up on. There was no cover on the toilet button. Despite her directions I still had...

Hotel: The hotel itself was very easy to find and was located only a few minutes away from the Termini station. The hotel was very cheap especially considering the location but it was very basic. We ordered a triple room for two of us and I struggle to see how three people could have fitted into that room. The hotel...

The location was the only good thing. The place was dirty, someone would go in our room when we were out and move our personal things about but not clean the room at all. I have never seen anything like it, not once was that room cleaned, the floor was disgusting with dirt from the moment we arrived. Tatty bedding...

We arrived at 10am and the owner allowed us to keep the luggage in the room and let us to take a shower if we don't mind that the room not yet cleaned. Room was enough size for 2, near to Roma terminal and 20 mins walk to many attractions. We planned to take metro, however it's on strike, we...

The "Best Place" is very easy to find, just two blocks from the Termini Station, and also close to the Colosseum and Roman Forum, we walked a lot, but that´s the best way to visit Rome, it´s a shame if you miss the beautifull views of the streets, going on the underground. I Found and old and charming building, without...

We stayed at B&B Best Place for a whole week. In my opinion Best Place was the best choice. Not only beacuse it is located nearby the center of Rome and the price is low, but it is very nice and (always!!!) clean - thanks to the fantastic service; though rather simple (with "help yourself" breakfast in tiny kitchen). Important:...

I stayed there for a few days as got in Rome without planing my trip in advance. The location is good, very close to underground station and a walking distance to the central station. There u can get the train or airport shuttle. The place is really nice, the room is clean and comfy, free and fast wi-fi. The hostess...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
