What can I say about my stay in Rome...? For two months I lived a dream....While studying Latin in Rome during June and July, I stayed at the Federici B & B. The location, several blocks north of St Peter's Basilica, at the Ottaviano Metro stop, is perfect: you can walk to St Peter's in 10 minutes to beat the...

I am in the same business in Florence Italy so for me Federici was a wonderful find! I chose Federici for it's great location and value... Federici is located right down the street from the Vatican, on a busy street but in a lovely neighborhood. The front door of the building is just steps away from the metro. The room...

Federici's is our favorite of the three Rome hotels we have used over the past three years. It is located in a residential building, and the three rooms are on an inner courtyard, making them quiet all the time. The walk to the Vatican takes about five minutes. I stayed alone for three days before my husband joined me, and...

We just spent 5 nights at Federici in Rome. It is convienently located just a few blocks from the Vatican and right next to a metro stop for all other travel. The room included a light continental breakfast, which included packaged pastries, breads, cheeses, tea, coffee, juice and cereal. The B&B was located in a quiet residental building. The upsides:...

A great place to stay close to the vatican and within 45 minutes walk of all the main sights. Good breakfast, clean rooms, and the best host in all of Rome. Fabio walked us through what we should do while in Rome, where to go, good places to eat, even one of the best beaches (Sabaudio), that we have ever...

Having read all those great reviews here (furthermore 4 out of 5 is a good score), I did not hesitate to book a room at "Federici" when the Italian B&B association recommended this B&B. Well, it is a good choice but not an excellent one: it's right outside the metro and very close to the Vatican but so far from...

The location is 10 minutes from the Vatican and true the metro stop is right outside your door BUT the metro line A stops running at 9 pm! You are trapped in the city and have to pay for a taxi if you wish to stay late and enjoy the city center.( note: bus 64 runs out to the other...

My husband and I spent 3 days at Federici's and really enjoyed our stay there. fabio is a great host - helpful and friendly. The B & B is very well situated, only a 10 min walk to the Vatican and the Metro a mere 50 metres from the door. It was quiet and very clean. The bus " Terravision"...

This place is great and the host is a real gem. He is bright, funny and helpful. The rooms are modern, clean and the ensuites are in excellent working order. Fabio gave us terrific restaurant and barber info, called me a cab for 3:30am and kindly talked Italian politics with my journalist father till my dad had had his fill....

We picked a winner with the Federici B&B. The place was spotless, the room spacious, with an ensuite bathroom. The beds were comfy, especially after LONG days of walking. We had our own keys to the building and the room. The location was great--about 10 minutes easy walk from the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Square, and just steps away...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
