This was a little tricky to find, but well worth the effort. Location is great, really within walking distance to all the main tourist sites. Very handy to the Termini. Room was lovely, much bigger than you would expect. The staff did not speak english, but what the hell they still were able to help with maps and directions. Breakfast...

Good Location, but that is the only good thing. Staff messed up our booking, thought it was funny and were very rude. One member of staff was very creepy and kept calling us baby. The hotel itself smelt smokey, rooms where dirty and cold. Rooms felt very cheaply done and in ours the motif was peeling off the wall. Early...

A little tricky to find but great location next to a metro station and a short walk from Termini train station, walking distance from the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon, simple clean rooms for a very affordable price, breakfast is outside the hotel, but well taken care.

Myself and my husband stayed here in early December. We did a lot of research into the area and I must admit, Via Nazionale is a fantastic location and is exactly where you want to be staying if you want to go site seeing in Rome. The "Hotel" however is anything but a hotel! We arrived there late on the...

This is a very good value based on it's amenities. Although tricky to find this hotel, it was super clean, room was small and simple but adequate, clean with a great location. We felt very safe and secure . Staff was very helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast included fresh pastries, coffee and juice. We really liked the refrigerator and cable...

The place was filthy. The sheets hadn't been changed after the previous tenant. There were hairs in the bed. The glass in the bathroom had toothpaste in it. The desk clerk, just outside my door, spent all night on the phone with her boyfriend. Lucky me, I now know as much about her life as he does. One night (out...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
