There was a nice experiencie. The hotel is clean, good bed and close to the center. The owner is very polite and he gives you all his support. The breakfast is in a little bar, not so comfortable, but they have good products.

Very near from city center and all the atractions.. Room big, clean and confortable! Towel were changed everyday. Luca (the owner I suppose) was very friendly an helpful. The street looks a little dodgy at the beggining, but is very safe, near from metro and electric. Love the old cinema decoration, and there's a counterfridge in the corridor, which is... More

The rooms were very clean and the location of them was close to the centre of the city. Breakfast was served to a near bar but it was kind of poor with only one pastry and a coffee. Luca was very helpful! I definately recommend it!

More than meets the eye! Arriving at the B&B might make you tkink twice for the booking. Yes the building outside looks shabby. However once you enter Vacanze Romana 2 the Dolce Vita starts. Cosy, cinematic, clean, quiet and above all within walking distance from everywhere. Luca, the landlord, speaks fluent English, is freindly, helpful and has the best tips... More

We stayed in this B and B for our stay in Rome. The owner honestly could not have been anymore helpful! He gave us his number so that we could contact him if we needed anything and he also let us check in an hour late which was really nice of him! He gave us a map upon arrival and... More

Dirty, noisy, dangerous neighbourhood, strange people attending... I wouldn´t stay in this place if I were you. There are millions of better places to stay at, for the same price and even cheaper. Believe me

We booked through one of the websites - and didn't read the entire bits of information. Said they take cash only, but surprisingly took a Mastercard from us. Not really a B & B or hotel; breakfast was a coffee and croissant at Bar Trani around the corner, which was adequate for us to start the day. The room was... More

We stayed there for a week-end my husband and I and the place was really filthy. Moreover the breakfast is provided in a sad little cafe with no charm and each customer is allowed only one brioche and one coffee. Any extra, such as orange juice is not included in the breakfast voucher!

We spent 4 nights in this lovely place. We got really nice tips from the owner and everything is in walking range, especially the colosseum. Breakfast is in a little cafe 50m away. You get a drink (tea, hot chocolate or any kind of coffee) and a croissant with filling of your choice. You also have the mobile number of... More

Not really a hotel or b&b feel. You're given keys and away you go. The b&b is in a block of flats. Has a nice feel to it. The area seems a bit run down but it doesn't take long to get to nice areas and the colosseum. Try Ristorante Vecchia Trattoria which is really nice and only a short... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
