Stayed there for 4 nights in July 2011. Room was a good size with good bathroom. Conveniently located close to Roma Termini (about 15 min walk). It was shock when the floor began to shake and I literally mean shake! Especially at night with each passing by car but I was assured that it was normal and soon you will...

I made a plan to meet friends in Rome, and they were staying at the #1 ranked Artemide Hotel, which is about 20 steps away from this jewel. Simple but clean room, nice bathroom, cute old-fashioned elevator (the hotel is on the 5th floor), breakfast was included (a simple breakfast) and a 24-hour front desk.. I'm a seasoned traveler, and...

The hotel is located right in the centre and not far from Termini station and major sightseeing...but the owner of the building should better invest in desinfection - few chucroaches came to say "hello" when i was taking shower....

Nice personnel, spacious and comforting rooms (we had very quiet one - exceptional for Rome's central location), very clean, good breakfast. We will always consider this hotel for our next trips to Rome.

This is in walking distance from the train station and is in good walking distance to most of the sites. Upon arrival we found that the hotel was on the fourth floor and the only way to get there was by steps or a very old lift, which requires passengers to close the three doors before it can move. This...

We stayed at the hotel from 7 to 15 June. The hotel is very nice and cozy. The room was good and spacious with a beautiful interior and new bathroom. Hotel is located in one of the most popular city streets with a lot of shops and cafes. We were lucky with an amazing view from the window at the...

The hotel is quite basic (the showers & toilets are very primitive and need updating) and breakfast doesnt have variety or splendour of Italian food. Also note that there is a lift that is not always working due to the fact that some other occupants in the building does not close the lift doors and that casues it is not...

We went to Rome in February. After our cold winter weather was awsome (+ 15/17 degrees). Few words about hotel: perfect location, right in a center; friendly stuff, good rooms (a little bit noisy though). Breakfast was poor but for 3* hotel it' ok. If you're going for a few nights and don't want to spend lots of money it'll...

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and were pretty disappointed. The owner was the most unfriendly woman we've ever encountered at a hotel and was quite rude most of the time. We arrived at 12.15pm and there were no rooms ready, even though the check in time was from midday. We had to wait in the luggage room...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
