We book this hotel because one friend of me stay in Angel Hotel two years ago. The hotel was easy to find, just a few meters from Piazza Cavour, near the Vatican City. Our room was located at the forth floor, at the end of the aile, number 410. The room was nice and clean. For a two stars hotel... More

We booked this hotel for one night because it was cheap and we are lowly budget travellers. On arriving we found everything to be good, was very efficient. Only thing we thought was a bit strange was that the man at front desk wanted to keep our passports back and said to collect them on our way out. Now having... More

The first night we were there, our bags were stolen from our room. We were across the street eating dinner, and had turned in our keys to the hotel clerk... "Hotel Policy". When we returned from eating, our room was torn apart and our bags were gone. There was no sign of forced entry, and the only person with access... More

After weeks of searching for a decent clean & reasonably priced hotel, i came across Angel Hotel. Paid around 80GBP per night, which was quite cheap by Rome standards. The hotel is in an excellent location, less than a 10min stroll to Spanish Steps & Trevi fountain areas & 10 mins to Vatican in opposite direction. The hotel is close... More

We stayed here at the start of September and the room was incredibly warm on the first night and the air con did not make much of an impact. Because the room was so small I did feel very claustrophobic on the first night of our stay. However by the second day the air con seemed to have kicked in... More

This hotel was terrible! Not only did our toilet never flush but they made no attempt to fix it. They actually asked us to use the toilet in the lobby which was two floors down! Then, in the middle of my shower, the water turned off completely 4 times! When it did return, the water was cold. Last (but not... More

The basics: I paid a substantially-reduced, last-minute non-refundable rate of €65 a night for two nights. If it hadn't been for an unfortunate incident in which €50 was stolen from our hotel room, I would say it was worth it for that rate...BUT if I had paid their normal rates (which effectively I did if you include the stolen cash)... My boyfriend and I stayed in the Angel hotel in February for 5 nights. The hotel was quite difficult to find as we booked the hotel directly and therefore had no tranfers from the airport. Taxi driver understood little English and took us to the wrong hotel however our hotel was on the same road and so didn't take us... More

I have recently taken a short break at the Angel Hotel with 7 friends. Hotel staff were very helpful and eager to please. Rooms were a good size, for Rome, and although it's a little quirky having 2 separate floors and reception being separate, it worked well. We were a little concerned that the Hotel has no bar or restaurant... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
