I stayed in this charming hotel in August 2008 and I enjoyed it very much. The location is great and secure. Close to major attractions and a 5 minute walk to the Metro. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen staff was very friendly too, and the food was delicious and...

We stayed at Alberto Giusti in 2013 and again in 2015 and enjoyed it very much. Quiet side street with a staff that was helpful. If a staff member was at the desk and did not understand English he would get someone who could. Most staff did understand enough to help with questions we had. Staff was very friendly and...

I stayed here four years ago and was very happy to return. Good position near Roma Termini (easy walk) and has good security. Good service - very helpful and a clean place! Gorgeous garden out the back and it now has WiFi !!! Has a lift if needed.

As other reviewers have said this convent hotel is perfect if you are comfortable with basic conveniences. The room was nice sized for the two of us and it was great to have a balcony with shutters so we could keep the door open and get the outside breeze coming into the room The beds were very narrow and not...

This property has all the amenities that I need as a traveler: 1. It’s well located with a clear, direct way to walk to the location. You can take a bus from FCO to Rome’s central termini station and then walk to the hotel. It’s easy and cheap to get to Termini from FCO (5 euros on the bus) and...

We got all our money's worth! Location is excellent - can walk to the Termini and have choice of metro or bus. The room was very clean and the air conditioner worked really well. The bathroom was also very clean and the towels were thick and absorbent. To top this, the staff were very helpful. Nina was very knowledgeable, reliable...

This B&B is very vice, spotless more , than comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast in dining area. A very friendly staff and also helpful. This place was suggested to us by a Jesuit priest, he had the right idea, quiet, friendly and affordable. Compared to other Rome hotels. It was nice to see nuns walking around And Mass in the morning...

Walking distance from Roma Termini (suggest walk to/from using Via Merulana). Warm reception and welcome. Peaceful, very clean room and bathroom, comfortable bed, got a good night sleep. Strong A/C (grateful, went in August) and wi-fi signal. Good restaurants nearby. Felt at home, Chapel in-house, good breakfast. Will return. Thank you to the staff and the Soure. God Bless you.

We stayed here for 4 nights in June and found the hotel very clean with air conditioning, quite a big bedroom with a little balcony and ensuite but very sparse and no facilities for making coffee and tea. The receptionists were very helpful with any questions I asked. Breakfasts are not great, cereal, yougart, bread and jam and cakes but...

My husband and I stayed in the Albergo Giusti three nights in Holy Week (April 4 - 7) and had a good experience. At 90 euros a night, there are no frills but our room was surprisingly large, had a small balcony, ensuite facilities, small black and white tv, and although it lacked any luxuries it was kept spotlessly clean...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
