Stayed for four nights. Great location, walking distance to the Termini station, metro station just round the corner, and around 15 minutes to Coloseum. On arrival was greeted by the owner of this lovely little place. We were given a map of Rome, he explained what to see, what to do and how to get around - was no need...

Its a nice family place. Walking distance to the Hop on Hop Off bus stop. There is also a supermarket walking distance. Rooms were comfortable. The only thing was the TV which didn't have a clear transmission but than again, we went there for holiday not to watch TV.

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Place is not far from Termini (Central station). Rooms are clean, with A/C. Free WiFi. Cons: Breakfast the same every morning. Got smallest room. WiFi sometimes didn't work.

We stayed here only for one night. We had two rooms. One on the second floor and the other one on the first. Both rooms were comfortable. The room on the first floor was done up entirely in modern fittings while the one on the second floor had a more rustic heritage flavour. The beds were comfortable. There was just...

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a central point of the city ( 2 mins from Vittorio Emmannuelle metro station, 10 mins from Termini station and 20 mins from Colosseum). The room was cleaned everyday and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was adequate. The breakfast room, the elevator and the bedroom were a little bit smaller...

The Buonarroti Guest House consists of 2 newly renovated units (bedroom + private bath) on the 7th floor of an older apartment building. The rooms are small but newly fitted and our room had a decent sized balcony overlooking the street . The building is near public transit and near the historic city centre. There is a market two doors...

The hotel is situated at 5 minutes away of the main Rome train station 'Rome Termini'. The room wasn't in the best condition. The shower curtain was broken. The location is ideally for walks but if you wish to move faster using the underground system you have also many options. Enjoy your holiday!

Very good value for money. Walking distance to metro station, termini central station and major historic attractions. I would defenately stay there again and I highly recommend it.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
