The hotel decor is a bit aged and it could do with a refurbishment. having said that, the room we were given was fair for what we paid. the staff was nice and helpful overall and the room was clean. couldnt expect for much more for the price we paid. wi-fi was not the best but having said that, it...

Cheap. And that's it..Hotel is in a 5 storey complex along with 3 other Hotels. Reception on 1st Floor, Room on 4th Floor. Elevator only holds 3 people, at a squeeze. Had room overlooking main Road. Very Noisy.. Bed was adequate, and only a sheet and a thin blanket. Safe didn't work, and they failed to rectify if, even after...

The staff is very nice and kind. The quadruple room we had was very well kept, clean and well equipped. The breakfast was very satisfying. The price was fantastic and the location of the hotel is stratigic to walk around Rome. The lift does not start from ground level.

Booked as a budget hotel but didn't expect a step up from a hostel. To be fair for the price it had a bed, shower and a working window Basic it is and as in life you only get what you pay for but I felt it could of been better. Finding the place was the first issue as the...

The room was filthy. Nets and curtains covering windows were stained and filthy. Room furniture I wouldn't keep in the garden. Fridge on the floor didn't work, was scared to eat breakfast there. Reception was a woman behind desk accompanied by a group of non Italian intimidating males . felt very intimidated. Just wanted to leave.

The hotel was very well put. 4th floor perfect view of the restaurants below with the accordian playing every night was the best part. Perfect location to everything. Termini was 2 blocks behind the hotel. Colosseum was about a 10 minute walk, 15 minutes from the ruins. Perfect location I felt. Wifi gave us more problems than anything. We had...

This is a good budget hotel if all you want is somewhere to shower and sleep. The room as are basic and you pay extra for air con which we managed to do without through the heat of summer by opening the windows. Breakfast though simple was filling and there was plenty on offer.

Location is very close to Termini, in a building that also contains other small boutique hotels. Step outside and there are restaurants everywhere and a late-night convenience store around the corner. 20 - minute walk to Colosseum. AC didn't work in my room but I didn't complain either, I was alright with it. Breakfast was adequate. No real lugage storage...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
