I must admit that I was pretty worried about booking this Hotel after reading the reviews, but I was more than pleasantly surprised, and I definitely recommend this hotel for people who plan on spending most of their time seeing the sites in Rome, and are looking for a simple, nice, clean place to rest their head. The staff was...

First of all the "location near Stazione Termini" is a lie as the hotel is located on the same street but at 1.6 miles from the station. On the second day the Nintendo of my child was stolen form the room. They "suggest" me to call the "Carabinieri" (Police). I did not as we could not waist our time filling...

Upon arrival at Center 1 I was directed to Center 2. Upon arrival at Center 2 I was told there was no room for me and I would be staying elsewhere. The receptionist marked a cross on a map and sent me on my way to a new, unknown hotel on a completely different street. I don't think this is...

This is relatively good located hotel for the guests who are passing by Rome, as we were. It is close to Rome Termini RC as the hotel ca 500 meters away from the station itself and is easy reached by walking. We needed overnight stay for Rome before heading to the South of Italy and Hotel Center 123 passed OK...

I booked a trip for 26 adults to stay in Hotel Center 123 for the six nations weekend. As I booked for a large group, I basically tried to find the cheapest option. When I booked this hotel I warned all in my party that the hotel was not going to be great as all the reviews I had read...

Good location, walking distance to Colossum and Termini Station. Rooms are a little dated. Considering the price you pay, this is actually decent. Stayed here for a few different times on our trip so we have figure them out a bit. Not all rooms are created equal. Some are spacious and some can be pretty bad. There are rooms that...

Booked and paid in advance from australia through a travel agent. Arrived at hotel after walking for 20 minutes to be told. " No you are not at this hotel but at our other hotel. Go out the door walk down the street and turn the corner." "You will be there in 10-15 minutes walking."Yes they have more than one...

With good intent the travel agent made out reservations, believing info she had been given by the hotel. It is in the very dingy, dirty, dark part of a town. Disinterested reception staff pushed us to another of their hotels around the corner at 10.30 at night. Air conditioning not working but would not commit to having it fixed. We walked...

The room was very small and in need of renovation. I’ve never seen such an old tv system – couldn’t even figure out how to turn it on. You could barely turn around in the bathroom it was so small. I went out to see the sights, and when I returned to the hotel around 9:30pm, the door was locked....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
