Hotel is small and modest. Very well situated - only 300m from metro station Policlinico. Near metro station you can find also supermarket. The staff is very nice and friendly. Rooms well equiped. bathrooms after reconstruction. I consider 2 things to be weaker: 1. breakfast (so poor choice) - however staff will prepare type of coffe as you want -...

This Hotel is quite Central, about a five minute walk from Policlinico metro, which is itself only two stops from Rome termini. The area is fairly quiet considering it's that close. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast consists of cornflakes, croissants, butter, toast, jam, the usual beverages and bottled water. We stayed for a week. The rooms are cleaned daily, and...

I had mixed feelings in regards to this hotel. The hotel is situated in a good, convenient area; the metro is literally a minutes walk away and there are various shops and supermarkets within the area. I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at this hotel, as it was a good way to start off the day. This hotel is extremely...

The walls are really thin and can hear all the other neighbours, italians speak really loud, when i was trying to take a shower i accidentally pulled the fire alarm, and had to get out of the room. The breakfast was poor only sweet stuff some cheap bread and butter, the croissants were tasteful and the cappuccino was good but...

The hotel is actually part of a flat building, it occupies two floors. The rooms were very cold, we had to use the AC for heating, no minibar, wi-fi had extremely poor reception in the room. When showering, we had to wait a while for the water to heat and the breakfast was extremely disappointing. We received a very sweet,...

I think the hotel is not bad for a cheap and short stay in Rome. the room was clean, old tv and furniture, a bit noisy and nothing fancy. the staff is helpful and for that price I think I'll recommend it if you need a cheap place for a couple of days. excellent location.

Total disappointment. They say mini bar; what they mean is they have a fridge at reception. We struggled to get a receipt for our payment. Okay banter from reception, they ordered us a pizza, it didn't turn up. We arrived quite late and they had absolutely no food for us, so the receptionist gave us some breakfast croissants to which...

This place is really a hostel. It's location is 2 stops away on train from centre. When you get here it looks like you are going to a garage. The place is in an 80s time warp. The rooms are like something you rent by the hour. Our AC dripped all night, the bathroom door wouldn't close properly, the walls...

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
