Although this hotel isn't perfect, it is a great value. The location is fantastic - right near the Coliseum and Forum, right near some fantastic restaurants, and with a wonderful coffee shop right next door. The staff was incredibly helpful and our room was very...More
My partner and I (both aged 22 years old) stayed in Hotel Romano for 4 nights in February.
First impressions were very good. The hotel was located just a 10 minute walk away from the Colosseum and around 3 minutes from the Roman Forum main...More
The staff were super friendly and they helped us call taxis and get to tours and such. The room was spotless and surprisingly comfortable despite the small size. This hotel is perfect for travelers who aren’t interested in hanging out at the hotel all day;...More
This hotel is truly in the heart of Rome and couldn't be in a more great location, especially for the price. It's a cute and quaint hotel with so much character. It's certainly not the most modern and up to date hotel, but who is...More
We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Romano. The location makes it possible to explore most major sights of Rome on foot. There are also many very good restaurants, cafes and shopping in the neighborhood. Our room was very nice, and quiet. The...More

Dear Mrs. Amy,
thank you very much for your review. We are very glad you enjoyed Hotel Romano and the area around that much! Looking forward to welcoming you again, soon. Kindest Regards, Daniele
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

I don't recall seeing one in my room. I didn't need one when I stayed in early November last year. I kept the windows open. I was in Rome again in May of 2017 (not this hotel though) and it was already borderline getting too warm to be comfortable in the room even with the window open.
It is a great location though and the front desk guys were great. I enjoyed my time there.
