First holiday with the girlfriend and I thought where better than Rome. Booked with BA for a great price and the pool was what hooked me. I think that and the staff are the strengths of the hotel. The pool is large with loads of deck chairs. However, the interior really needs some work, the wallpaper in our room was...

Thank you, Jack, for reviewing our Hotel. It is the first time we get a complaint about scuffed furniture and tired wallpaper, we, and most of our guests, believe that our rooms are well taken care of, but we do respect your opinion and we will verify the room condition. As if you have any problem in our hotel, like...

Lovely hotel with brilliant staff. Room was a decent size, beds a little firm for me but I still slept well. The pool area was lovely and great to come back to after a day out. Breakfast was good with lovely views over the city. Would stay again most definately.

As you enter through the impressive gates the gardens are immaculate and a wonderful place to sit outside in the evening. The pool was at a blissful temperature, where we drank Aperol Spritz. Our room had a double aspect so although not big was drenched with sunlight. We just loved it. The staff were very helpful and friendly, that's almost...

A wonderful place to stay anytime from spring to fall. The hotel is located on top of the Gianicolo hill that provides you - close to the Spanish ambassadors private residence - with on of the most spectacular views over the roofs of Rome. The hotel claims to be 4 stars, but is really a 3 star plus! The staff are great, helpful and pleasant to deal with. The pool is beautiful, and just what one needs on hot days, with a life guard on duty and a pool side bar. The food is top notch, with - as I was told - all...

We didn't actually stay at this hotel, we only paid to use the swimming pool while on holiday as our hotel didn't have one! We paid €25 pp for the day, which included sun loungers, towels, changing/toilet facilities. The pool was very nice & clean. It has a shallow end and deep end so is good for all the family....

I am making an exception and writing about this hotel, since it was extremely nice. We were searching for a modest low budget hotel with a pool; this one exceeded our expectations. The establishment is traditionally designed, which makes the stay in it interesting on its own. However, it was very clean and meticulously tide up. There is a lot...

Staying in Monteverde

Neighbourhood Profile
Monteverde
Above the city on the Janiculum hill, Monteverde is Rome’s popular "getaway" neighbourhood, coveted for its greenery. Rome's largest urban park, Villa Pamphili, is the area's centrepiece with affordable prices and peace and quiet. Monteverde is just far enough away from the centre to feel like you’re on a Roman holiday and close enough to feel the lure of Rome's chaos. Though its downside is the lack of scheduled public transport, this family-oriented area is literally a well-deserved walk in the park.
