I stayed in Cressy hotel for two nights, room was fair but quite cold, the bathroom had this old used soap-bars standing next to the shower which make me think that was not as clean as it looked. Staff is really nice. The best thing about this hotel is its centric location near the train stations and with shops and...

I stayed here early July this year for 4 nights from my travelling up and down Italy. Overall I enjoyed my stay, not many complaints, just your average hostel. Location is ideal as it is less then a 5 min walk from Roma Termini, the main central train station. What I really liked about this hostel was that you could...

This hotel has a good location, near Termini station and walking distance to all the attractions. The rooms themselves were average. Freezing cold and the heating did not work. The shower flooded and went cold after 2 mins and the water sprayed everywhere! The toilet let off a foul smell after it was flushed also. Some staff were helpful, others...

At an amazing location 5 minutes walking from the Roma Termini train station, and at a great price, this hotel turned out to be way better than expected. We were a group of three and reserved a private room. With free internet in the room, and a fan that was much needed in the hot summer weather, and a clean...

We stayed for 4 nights. We wanted something with a great location at an afordable price. This is it! It's very simple but this is to be expected for a 1 star hotel. The location is soberb! 3 minutes from Termini Station. We arrived pass 00h and this was no problem at all. After that they give you the keys...

I was there 1 night after staying 3 nights in a hotel 4 times more expensive. I think it is very correct for the price (60 euros). Basic comfort but ok and clean. Had a shared bathroom butthe hotel was not full and I think I was the only one to use it. Bed was comfortable. Recommend it. HL

This is the perfect hotel for budget travelers. It's right down the road from Termini station, surrounded by restaurants and within walking distance to most attractions (including the Roman forum and Colosseum) so there's really no need to use public transport. The room was clean and simple. The wifi was a bit weak and dropped out if we were sitting...

Great place for the price. Really close to Termini Station. The people who work here are really nice. The rooms are basic, but clean. We were afraid to stay here because of some of the reviews, but don't be. It's a simple, clean place to stay and a great price.

I stayed in a dorm room in Hotel Cressy for one night as a kind of stopover. The hotel/hostel was adaquate; the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean enough, even if the door didn't work properly. Our room overlooked a busy street, so when we opened the window to let in some cool air, we were treated to a...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
