This is a hostel-converted convent parallel to a Main Street (Via Nazionale) but very quiet and away from the bustle of city life. It's less than 10 minute walk from The Colosseum and 15 minutes from Palazzo Venezia. We walked to and from the hostel and only took the bus to and from the Vatican. The bus stop is only...

A family of 2 adults and 2 11 year old girls stayed here for 4 nights. We had 2 rooms both roomy and with spare beds and both with en suites. Good WiFi, and clean showers. I loved waking up to hear the locals going about their day and capturing the ambience of the ancient city. Breakfast of cereals, rolls,...

This was the closest to North American standard of the Monasteries/Convents we stayed at in Italy. It has hired staff who speak English who were very helpful. They allowed us to drop our luggage for the day upon arrival, before our room was ready. The location is good for access to the subway and the Forum. We had a very...

Rome is packed with tourists right now, and everywhere I go -- the Campio de Fiore, the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon -- I am surrounded by very noisy crowds. But the cobblestone streets are tranquil and quiet around my beautiful neighborhood pension in the Monti district -- around the corner from Rome's #1 rated restaurant on trip advisor, Pasta Chef....

This is an active convent - the rooms are simple and spotless. The service is warm and helpful. Breakfast included a muesli with dried fruit that was delicious with a dollop of yogurt added. Great Italian coffee. Good ambiance and conversation . The main thing is you are in 12 minute walking distance to the colosseum and Ancient Rome; 12...

I stayed at the Casa Il Rosario in September 2015. I normally stay at the Santa Sophia (down the street), but a Sunday arrival made things a bit difficult. This convent was just perfect. I was travelling with my sister (never been to Rome), and our elderly mother. The staff and the sisters at the convent were so kind. The...

This was a great place to stay in Rome. It was an easy walk from Trastevere train station. It is close to the Colosseum which come in handy at night when I was trying to find my way back. The nuns were nice although most did not speak English. It was not an issue. The rooms were basic but had...

My father and I spent a very enjoyable 3 days in Rome, staying at Casa Il Rosario. The house is wonderfully located, and immaculately clean. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, and the simple rooms have everything one could need (the shower in my room was very good too). The peaceful courtyard and rooftop gardens are a blessing. I...

My family of three stayed 3 days at this Catholic Institution in October. While run by nuns, it is open to all. We booked a room for 3 pax with attached bath. The room was simple but functional. The room faced the street but it was quite peaceful, partly due to the double glazed windows. It is kept quite clean....
