Located at just 5 minutes walking distance from Roma Termini, this family run hotel was indeed value for money. The breakfast was good even if basic and the staff as well as the owners were helpful at all times. The room might be a problem for light sleepers as noise of people talking in the adjacent corridor and that of...

We stayed here on our "arrival day" because we wanted to be close to Termini to get back to the airport and pick up a rental car the next morning. This is a very nice place. Clean, friendly, safe and reasonably priced. I would certainly recommend it. It's also close to many attractions and restaurants. Pay the few extra euros...

Good location, close to train station, restaurants, hop on hop off bus, clean, staff (owners) friendly and helpful. The only complaint is the wifi worked sporadically.Good value for a 2-3 star hotel in expensive Rome. Dis not have any TV channels in English.

Room was Clean and AC working. Bathroom was super Clean, bleach could be smelled clearly. WiFi is poor and unrealible. Hot water is more like warm water and can stop any time. Breakfest is okay, but no fruits or some other healthy stuff. 5 minutes walk from Termini. Door is easily missed, just a small sign on a wall. Staff...

Stayed here overnight before travelling to Florence. Very easy to find, just a couple of minutes walk from the via Marsala exjt of Termini station. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless and extremely quiet (looked onto courtyard not road) with modern bathroom.

I loved my stay at Hotel Domus Praetoria. The five stars I have given it take into account the friendliness of the staff and the excellent location. It's not a 'five star' hotel in the respect of dripping with luxury; it's a family run hotel which was perfect to stay at. I booked a single room but I was given...

The old man at the reception was so courteous! The entire staff was so amazing & helpful. Triple room size was good; very clean, secured! It was few minutes walk from Roma Termini. Stay was comfortable & the old man really helped us to wisely spend our 2 days! Will certainly visit there again! PS: You may have difficulty locating...

From the outside this hotel does not look appealing at all, it is located in a quiet, narrow road (which is not the nicest to walk down after sunset) but inside the hotel is very nice. The staff at the hotel spoke very good English and were very helpful at suggesting places to visit and places to eat. The rooms...

It is a very good solution for tourists visiting Rome and they want to have trains buses taxis within a reach. It is a clean quiet, eventhough centre located, friendly ownership hotel with no funcy elements than decent quality versus money deal.

The room is comfortable and clean, cleaned daily. Nothing wrong with the bathroom either. Wifi worked and the location was good, just a short walk from Termini station with a metro access to both lines of the Roma metro. Breakfast is included if you pay a little bit extra but I wouldn't recommend it. It's just bread with jam, honey,...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
