We stayed for a weekend in May. Be aware that this is a B&B in a private house in the fifth floor (with tiny elevator) and NOT a hotel! Bathroom is separate and not in the room. Keep your cell phone ready as the doorbell...More

B&B Smart is located perfectly to all major public transportation. Arriving in Rome by train, it’s a five minute walk to the B&B. (Finding the exact building, for the first time, is a little tricky so get ready to call for assistance.) At the train...More

The private bathroom was internal to the family room. No separate key was required.

What does private external bathroom mean ? Is it in common area shared with other rooms ? Or is it in area that is not accessible to other rooms ? Will I be the only one using it or will others also use it ?

We had a room that had an 'external bath'. What this means is that our private bath was across the hall from our room. No one else used it, but we had to exit our room and cross a common area to get to it.
