The Rome Times Hotel garners praise for its central location, often highlighted by guests for its convenience to Rome's landmarks. While the modern and clean ambiance with live music creates a lively atmosphere, reviewers have mentioned the rooms' comfort and the perks of a free minibar. However, opinions on the hotel's value and room maintenance vary, with some pointing out service inconsistencies and extra costs.
Cleanliness generally receives high marks, though a few travelers have reported minor issues. The service staff is frequently commended for their professionalism and helpfulness.

Detailed Reviews
Visited this hotel last week for a three night stay. Ideally located for most of the sights in Rome. On arrival at the hotel greeted by the friendly staff who supplied us with a map of the area and pointed places of interest which was very helpful.
My husband and I stayed in room 417 on the fourth floor which was lovely and clean and a good size for our short visit. The room had a modern feel with patio doors leading onto a private balcony, not much of a view but great to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine. In the room there was coffee/tea making facilities, a mini bar stocked with water and soft drinks which was complimentary for the first night. The safe was included in the price and there was a selection of toiletries for use during your stay. The hotel also provide you with a Samsung smart phone to make free international calls and take out and about during your stay. We didn’t actually use it but it was a lovely addition to your stay.
We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis and found a good choice at the buffet. All the staff we came across were friendly and gave service with a smile. We could not find any fault with our visit to this lovely boutique style hotel and would recommend a visit.
Plenty of restaurants, takeaways and mini markets nearby. Less than 5 minutes by taxi from the Rome termini station. We took the Leonardo express from the Airport which took 35 minutes followed by a taxi. On our departure we took taxi from the hotel to Fiumicino airport cost 53 Euros which cost about 13 more than the train and taxi option.
All in all had a wonderful first time visit to Rome and top marks to the Rome Times Hotel.

For our first visit to Rome this was a last minute booking. We were due to stay at Rome Life hotel round the corner but this was closed but we dont know why so the hotel chain had put us in this hotel instead.
We were in the annex next door, modern rooms and were cleaned everyday.
Location seemed closest to trevi fountain about a 10 minute walk with the colosseum not too far away in the opposite direction again about a 10 min walk. Breakfast in a modern area served hot eggs, bacon and sausages and cold foods such as pastries and yogurts / fruit , we loved the hot drinks selection (hot choc was lovely).
Whilst cleaning the rooms the windows are left open so we used mozzy spray to get rid of bugs at night.
Overall a great unexpected stay in Rome. I think next time we would stay slightly more central.
Wifi easily connected to the first floor in our room.
Tv didn't work, only one french channel loaded.
Hotel reception staff are very helpful and polite.

I never normally leave reviews but felt I had to in this case! My boyfriend and I stayed at Rome Times Hotel for 3 nights last week and I cannot fault our experience at all. Communication with the hotel before arriving was fantastic, I requested a double room rather than a twin room and had a response within minutes confirming they had sorted this. Upon arriving it was a little too early to check in but the reception desk staff held our luggage and got the room ready as quick as they could. Our room was in the second building a few doors down from the main building, and I’ve seen a few reviews complaining about this but we had no problems at all! The building may not have a reception but is still secure as you can’t enter without a room key, and it’s just a 30 second walk to the main building for breakfast each morning, the staff even took our luggage over for us - if you get placed here it won’t affect your stay at all! The room was perfectly air conditioned with plenty of space to store luggage and didn’t feel cramped at all.. especially with the floor to ceiling balcony window and it was immaculately clean! The hotel itself is in a perfect location, 10 minutes each way to both the Trevi fountain and Colosseum and just 30 minutes in a taxi from Ciampino airport. Overall, the location was spot on, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast catered for everyone and I would 10000% stay here again and recommend to anyone looking to visit Rome! I am so glad I came across this hotel. Thank you for an amazing stay :)

Attempted to check in and we were told that we were in a seperate building after specifically asked not to be moved to their second building after reading other’s reviews before booking, we were advised that the hotel was fully booked and they couldn’t help us any further. We then got to our room and the key didn’t work, once in we noted the room was very small, basically a standard room with 2 fold out beds, not really a Jnr Suite for a family as advertised.
We then requested 2 extra towels and pillows as we were only given 2 for 4 people to share, had to follow the staff up several times and no one came with them for 3 hours.
No glassware or even a bottle opener in room, when we called down to ask for one we were advised that the hotel does not private bottle openers or wine glasses to guests, WTF, we strongly suggest you look at other options as this is a 3 star hotel at best with staff who truly don’t care about guests. Also very noisy and not a great location to explore

This hotel is superb. Their service standards and cleanliness are impressive for a cheaper hotel. It is very well located and central to almost all sightseeing points around Rome. We haven't bothered with a bus, taxi, scooter, metro or anything else other than walking the city. That includes going across to the Vatican. It's all easily accessible from the hotel by walking for anyone of basic fitness. Get some good trainers and walk around, the longest walk is to the Vatican but get a coffee on the way and that breaks it into 2 shorter walks.
We arrived at the hotel and asked for a balcony, and were told we could have a room upgrade with balcony for free. However, it wasnt like the big rooms shown in the photographs. I'm not sure we were upgraded, and if we were, I have to ask, from what?
The room in the hotel is modern, but not very spacious. The mini bar is already paid for, so consume the lot!
We chose room only so we cant comment on the menu or food, but the coffee (cafe latte) is lovely. Just ask for it to be 'hot' or you get warm coffee. This seems to be the case everywhere too. Coffee is warm almost every cafe/restaurant you go in, so ask for hot.
Highly recommended.
Remember that the hotels will charge city tax at the end of your stay at €6 per person per night.
Both airports use a company called "Bus Shuttle" which is direct to Termini at the top of the street for the hotel. It's about €6 return and well worth it. No hassle, it has aircon and its direct. Just keep your receipt for the return til you go home.

The breakfast was poor, horrible and not tasty, it was not organised well and products were all cheap and watery; there was nothing good at the breakfast. There was no hot food, everything was cold and burnt. Also juices and hot drinks were not tasty at all and not filled, they only serve a quarter of the drinks. On Booking.com it says there is room service, which is why I booked the hotel, but actually this service was not offered at the hotel, so the information on the website was misleading. The building is also shaped in a weird way as the rooms are in a separate building from the reception and there is no security where the bedrooms are. Our view from the room was on an abandoned building where every morning there was loud work going on. Also in our sink water didn’t go down well. We had to pay extra to get a room with some privacy as the original room had a glass shower with no door and everyone could see it someone was taking a shower. Also in the reception they don’t understand that much English, for example we requested some tea bags and they told us to go and buy them in the shop, saying they didn’t have them, in a rude way (even though the bar has them at breakfast).

We just checked out today. We were there from Tuesday night to Saturday morning. We stayed in the Annex and had a classic room (Room 512). We enjoyed our stay there. It’s a quaint and nice hotel. It was a nice size room for Europe. It was clean and quite. The bed was comfortable and the room was comfortable overall. It has a few things that you could see needed some attention but what hotel room doesn’t anymore that is in this price range. When we look for a hotel room we care about cleanliness, comfort, noise, and access to the area. This hotel checked them all. 10 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, and 13 minute walk to the Colosseum. It’s a few blocks from the metro station and not from from Termini Station. I saw some reviewers complain about being in the annex as if it was a downgrade. But honestly, I found it nice. It was like staying in an apartment and didn’t have to deal with the lobby and prying eyes every time you came and left. It has a security lock for your key to get into the annex, and a private rooftop terrace. The only 2 real negative critiques I would have is - 1. The restaurant is not very fast. If you want something to eat at the hotel then give yourself an hour for breakfast, unless you do the buffet. 2. Every day we had to ask for more coffee. They had 2 people in the room but only provided 1 regular coffee and 1 decaf. I would stay there again. And if someone is looking for what we look for I would recommend them.

Stayed here for 4 days and it was absolutely perfect. Could not have asked for a better location with the main attractions within a 15 min walk (only used the train once to get to the Vatican!). The staff is very nice and friendly and the room had plenty of space for the 3 of us. Brilliant hotel, would recommend it to everyone visiting Rome!

Stayed for 4 nights, in an executive room. Lovely and clean, nice large bed. We stayed in the annex of the hotel, which is just a couple of doors up from the main hotel. Upon arrival desk staff were friendly and held our luggage as checkin wasn't until 2pm. Upon arriving back at 2pm they had taken our luggage up to our room which was lovely. We were a family of 3, and when we arrived at our room, we were imprest by the cleaniness of the room, quite spacious too. The bathroom door was a little different, frosted glass that slides to the side, but it was a major issue. It stated a complimentary mini bar in arrival, when i open the fridge it consisted of 2 can of sparkling water, nothing else, there was a price list above giving details of restocking, orange juice, cans of pop all for 5 euros each! Which is a little misleading. As stated there were 3 of us, so 2 cans of water in a complimentary mini bar seems a bit tight. 2 glasses and 2 disposable cups, so we had to go down to the main recwption and ask for additional ones.
It could have done with perhaps a info sheet in the room, there wasn't anything about how to contact reception, room service etc. There was also a mobile in the room to use during our stay, but there wasn't a charger, we weren't going to use it bit asked at reception how we could charge the phone and were advised reception charge them, would of been handy to have this information in the room.
We stayed in the annex, it was lovely, however if we required anything from the main hotel you need to take the key card to get back into the building and in doing so the rest of you sit in the dark as this operates the lighting in the room.
Other than these small things which could be easily sorted our stay was lovely, the cleaning staff came every day whilst we were out exploring and refilled teas and coffees and left fresh towels. We didn't eat at the hotel as we ate out for our stay, bit we had a drink in the bar arwa which had nice surroundings.
All in all it was a lovely stay and would recommend to family and friends and would most certainly return.

Stayed here for my boyfriends birthday for 3 nights. We arrived early at around 11:30 and was told we had been complimentary upgraded to a room on the highest floor with a balcony which was ready straight away which was a lovely surprise as I had only booked a classic room. The room was lovely and clean and the air con worked a treat. Really nice touch with the mini bar being free for the first night. Location was perfect, we walked to every attraction including the Vatican which was a 45 minute walk. Overall had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend!

Rome Termini direct from the airport. It’s about 15 mins walk to the hotel.
I have recently stayed there. To be honest I could not tell you for definate. It may be worth contacting them if you can. There is a lift and I do remember a small internal step by the stairs on the floor I was staying on. Sorry, I cannot be any more help.
Dine in the little off streets for the best experiences and use TripAdvisor. I would recommend not dining in the over populated tourist areas and the quality can be much poorer and expensive.
The Hotel gave us some great recommendations.
hi, there are rooms with a balcony but also only with a window. you can try asking the hotel directly by sending an email which one you prefer with a balcony.
they then try to assign you one of the rooms they have with a balcony.
The main train station…..Roma Termini. It is straight down the Via Nazionale. Walkable
