Stayed for 3 nights in May 2017 with my husband. - This is more of a guest house/ bed and breakfast (only 4 rooms) than a hotel. - Felt like coming "home" every night (which we loved) instead of coming back to a "hotel." - It's run by Lorenzo and his dad Maurizio. We were greeted by Maurizio upon arrival....

Day by day is a small BB with only 4 rooms and a very useful common kitchen. The location is central close to the vatican and all the transport connections like metro ottaviano, bus terminus,Piazza Risorgimento even though Rome is best explored by walk, 30 mins away from the main attractions like Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna etc. The...

We stayed here 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The room was perfect with a great view from the 5th floor. The hotel is very close to where the airport bus drops you, so commute is not a problem. It's also exactly 5 mins from Vatican City and a 15 min walk to Piazza del Popolo, which makes it...

Excellent introduction to the area and to Rome by the host. A cappacino machine for your coffee in the morning. Let than a ten minute walk to the Vatican - St. Peters and the Vatican Museum. Very good restaurants very close to the apartment. The room is medium sized with a good bed, tv, desk, closet, and a nice chair....

This place is a real find. The outside looks like an apartment building and not a guesthouse but it is there! The owner is really nice, friendly and helpful. Our room was very good, clean and everything worked. The communal dining / kitchen section is very useful indeed. The location is perfect for the Vatican area. The bars and places...

Day by Day became our home away from home during our first visit to Rome! Thank you, Maurizio! We were traveling with our young children (ages 4 and 7) and the spacious room along with the kitchen amenities (to include fresh oranges provided to guests to press their own fresh orange juice), Nespresso coffee, and a refrigerator with kitchen table, dishes...

New owners are continuing the great service at Day By Day. Our family had the entire apartment (all four rooms). The kitchenette and dining area provided a wonderful gathering space. Maurizio was extremely helpful in arranging taxi service and maps to find our way around. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Hair dryer provided and a towel drying rack...

Absolutely a great location, centrally located within easy walking distance to the Vatican. Establishment has been upgraded with nearly soundproof windows. A bit of a climb upstairs but the lift makes it easily accessible. The service was A+. Would return to this accommodation, and would recommend to a friend.

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
