Wow, OK where do I start. Confusing, unhelpful, miserable, dirty, very disappointing. I knew that this wasn't going to be the hotel of the century but Bugger me its appalling, I'm not snooty old git, I've camped, backpacked and roughed it as well as having the pleasure of some top class hotels and rooms in my time but to be...

Good location near the train and bus station. Friendly staff. Pretty basic but ideal for a city break where you are only there for sleeping and a shower. Good size room and confortable bed. Only bad point was the poor quality breakfast which led us to going out for alternatives nearby.i

My hubby and I stayed at this hotel for 5d4n. We went in late April 2015, therefore, the weather was pretty cool. Room - Air condition was not switched on but all we had to do is open up the windows and the room is cooling again, due to the wintry-like weather we had. TV always play Italian channels but...

We were only passing through Rome for a day, arrived at midnight on the Friday and needed to take a train from Stazione Termini on Saturday afternoon. This hotel did the job. We chose this hotel because of its very convenient location - 5 mins walk from the main train station and the price. The surrounding area, as you may...

Do not stay here if you want a good nights sleep or a warm shower. It is a shelter for the drunk and disorderly. Do not take a family to this 'hotel'. One of the staff members is very sharp and should learn how to smile.

All in all wouldn't have been too bad except for the lack of hot water. Room is nothing special, bathroom is small and our's had a broken toilet seat. Internet wasn't free, but it was a close walk to the train station. The breakfast, however, was quite good but didn't make up for the lack of basic accommodations.

They booked us the tickets for the Sistine Chapel and for the Galleria Borghese. My sister and I stayed at the hotel three nights while in Rome. The hotel was average with nice people working there. The breakfast was good, with breads and pastries available. The hotel was very close to the Termini which was great because you can get a lot of things you need there. Walking from this location to the sights...

I chose this hotel specifically for its location. It is near enough (5 mins leisurely walk) to Termini station to be a launching pad for everything. It is on the 2nd floor of a multi-hotel building along Via Palestro. There is an elevator. I was surprised at the size of the room. I was fully expecting a tiny, typically European...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
