Neighbourhood
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.

Stayed there four nights, the rooms are a bit run down and old but its in a very good location and the staff are great. I was in a very small room with a tiny bathroom. Internet was ok. No food available except breakfast which was good. Would stay there again but would prefer a b

Impossible to get any rest during the day in this hotel! First day, my wife was working and a spider dropped from the ceiling. Several times during the short time we were in the room, we hear the very loud sound of glass bottles being dumped! All 4 days we were there, including a

Dear Sir, Thank you for your review. We are very sorry for the inconveniences occurred. We understand the reason of your dissatisfaction for the incidents happened during the nights of your stay and we apologize for the circumstances although sometimes some works of maintenance in the closest houses or the collection of waste on the streets next to our hotel happen beyond our control . No matter you want to avoid it to happen. In this case would be better to explain your problem to the concierge immediately. We would have taken immediate action and change for a room in a quite area of the hotel. Hopefully this inconvenience will not ruin your memories of the trip in Italy and we’ll be honored if you will give us the pleasure to accommodate you in one of our best rooms during your next visit in the eternal city.

This hotel is tucked away on a quiet residential street in the Avetino district. The staff were delightful whether at reception, at breakfast or in the bar. The breakfasts were very good with hot scrambled egg and bacon always provided along with the usual continental fare. My ro

The location is great in a lovely neighbourhood. My personal favourite was the "Handy" mobile phone with data, calls, navigation and guides. I didn't have to use my phone at all.

The gentleman at reception was really helpful, one of the female members of staff less so. Breakfast

Is there a kettle and cups for tea and coffee in the rooms?
No. But it was so easy to go down and grab a cup if you wanted and bring back up to your room. I know this isn’t super convenient if you want to stay in your PJs but this hotel was so lovely I would give that luxury up.

Is there a kettle and cups for tea and coffee in the rooms?
I had e-mailed the hotel prior to our arrival and was told there was a kettle in the room - which there was. Cups (small) and saucers were also provided, as were a couple of tea bags.

Hi is there a hairdryer in the room?
Hi Tracey There isn’t a proper hairdryer. There is a wall mounted tube with a nozzle on the wall of the bathroom and it’s very low powered so no good for styling. I’d recommend taking a hairdryer. Enjoy your trip- it’s a great hotel and the staff are so helpful. Best, Nicola UK
