My friend and I stayed for 10 days and loved the place. We arrived before our room was ready, however, the staff were so apologetic. We were given afternoon tea while a staff member gave us the run down on the local area and where to buy tickets for things. Everyone was very good at explaining how to get around... More

I stayed here twice at the beginning and at the end of my recent holiday in Italy. I arrived after a long haul flight and the hotel staff were kind enough to arrange for my room to be ready early and welcomed me with a cappuccino and pastry. I was checking out on the day of the recent earthquake.... I... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in late October early November, when we first arrived the staff were very friendly and helpful offering us maps and explaining local transport. We were a little bit disappointed with our room after seeing so many beautiful pictures online before we got there. Our room didn't have a window and was also very small... More

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for two nights after a hicup when we first arrived. The manager at the time Alessandro APPOLLONI went out of his way to assist us when we arrived. After spending a night at another hotel nearby he advised us to ring him the next morning where he had fixed up the anomaly... More

200 series rooms are fine. This is our first visit to Rome, so there was no intent to relax in room, only sleep. Lara in the bar gets a great review and special mention, Honest and engaging. Some great tips on where to eat and where to go for shopping and Roma experiences. We weren't disappointed. Breakfast is wonderful and... More

I stayed for nine nights in October. It's a 3 star hotel with 5 star service! My first room was 105 which is in a little courtyard. The bed is a little bigger than a single but smaller than a double. Unfortunately the mattress was hard as a rock. The a/c unit didn't work well so I switched to room... More

Stayed in this hotel for two nights, staff were extremely friendly, room was lovely and we had a balcony overlooking the front courtyard. Breakfast was nice with plenty of choice and the staff cannot do enough to look after you, girl in the bar sat with us and our map and showed us the best place to eat and which... More

My boyfriend and I visited Rome as our first holiday in late August 2016. We stayed at this hotel and upon arrival, the hotel manager greeted us and was more than happy to sit with us and show us where we wanted to go on the map. He was extremely helpful, telling us everything we needed to know. The hotel... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days in September of this year. I chose this hotel because of it's quaint charm and the fact that it had a nice little outdoor patio. The reviews said not to be put off by the graffiti on all the surrounding buildings, but when we arrived I was a bit unsure, as there... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
