Checked in, had to pay up front with cash. The credit card on file is used for people who don't show up. They said the money will be released within a month. So bad luck if you needed the money for something else.
I love this place! I was staying in a dormitory with cool paintings on the walls and a sink which was really useful if the bathrooms were busy. I spent so much time in the common rooms because they were so cozy! Just loved everything,...More

I'm someone who doesn't complain. Cheap hostels don't phase me. However, this place is in a completely different category. Upon arrival I had to pay the total fee in cash before receiving my room key. My 'bed' was two couch cushions pushed together on the...More
I only had one night in Rome and chose this hostel due to its location in front of Termini station. I booked a private room with ensuite private washroom. On arrival in the evening, I was told that the credit card machine was not working...More
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
