We had a reservation for two rooms and when we got there they told us that we were booked out and that they would had to send us to another hotel. They sent us to a very mediocre and badly located hotel called EMPIRE PALACE HOTEL. Cristiano at the front desk was a very disrespectful, unhelpful and unkind man. I...

I have stayed at the Hotel Stendhal, as have over 30 of our clients, over the past 12 months and everyone, to a person, has raved about the service, location and fair price of this hotel. Located on the Via del Tritone in the center of Rome, the cacophony of the streets disappears behind you as you enter the lovely...

Coming from Paris we had just deals with a traveling night from hell as we were rerouted and spent the night without sleep. When we arrived to Rome the hotel took allll of our problems, wrapped them up tight and threw them out the door. The service was IMPECCABLE. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was wonderful. Anything we...

Stayed here for 4 nights, lovely place, service excellent, breakfast very good, in a great spot not far from metro and Trevi Fountain and plenty of restaurants. Staff were very helpful and there was always someone on the counter who spoke or understood English (maybe not Australian).

My friend and I spent 3 days at the Stendahl coming back from a week in Tuscany. We checked in with a not-so-friendly Suraj and it seemed like we were bothering him cause he was on the phone. The room was small but well appointed and the bathroom was great. The service could have been better as we came back...

The Hotel Stendhal is in a perfect location for visiting all the major sites - Spanish Steps, trevi Fountain etc and close to the Metro. The hotel is decorated to a very high standard with good quality rooms, bathrooms and excellent service. We stayed at the back of the hotel and even though the view was the back of other...

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. The room itself was small but I knew that. However, all the amenities were all in there, except it could do with bathrobes. It was also extremely close to all the major attractions and it was nice to be able to walk to the Fountain of Trevi each day to start the...

A very good hotel, but then at this price it should be. The room we had was small (despite being a superior executive) but very well decorated and clean. The staff and service were excellent. Breakfast was slighlty disappointing. When paying so much you might expect a hot sausage or some bacon. They allowed a late checkout and remember the...

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the Hotel Stendhal in May 2011. Our disappointment in finding our room did not have the requested balcony was quickly turned to pleasure through the efforts of the staff, especially Suraj. He arranged to have us moved to the only room with a sizeable walled patio/terrace on the 6th floor--Room 601. The...

We stayed one night in May and thought this was a delightful boutique hotel in a very good position the staff were pleasant and although we were not able to get into our rooms until quite late they did look after our luggage for us. We returned to the hotel 2 weeks later for our last night in Rome before...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
