Room was really big, good for us. two adults and two teens, Good bathroom with big and fluffy towels. Room and bath were clean. Reception is on second floor...

Absolutely terrible!!! Don't even bother booking this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere else. From hotel rooms to staff, everything was nasty about this place. Never ever going back to Hotel Repubblica.

Me and my boyfriend went for a weekend in Rome stayed at this hotel, from the outside it looks nice but inside is a different story. For a start the reception staff were rude just gave us our key, didn't show us to our room, to get to the room either 5 flights of stairs or a dodgy looking elevator...

The rooms are dirty and stink of mould, the entrance to the shower is 30cm wide, there are kids/youths running around inside the hotell, the furniture is broken, there is no access controll as the reception is not actually in the lobby but on the second floor. We dared only stay for 1 night before scuttling out of there before...

I stayed in this hotel with a study abroad group. From outside of the hotel, it looks like many of the buildings along the popular and central Via Nazionale. When I walked inside the building, it was decorated very vintage and out-dated like. A lot of "gold" motifs and grandma-esque furniture. For our three days and two nights, things would...

Three hotels in one building is strange but not the issue. And the friendly staff is a positive characteristic. But that's all there is on the positive side. The elevator is small, with not automatic closing door. It looks funny, but it isn't when you're in a hurry on the 6th floor. The rooms ar small, with poor facilities. The...

What a hotel ! Words to describe this place would be: dirty, horrible breakfast and just creepy! Yeah, I get it : You get what you pay for...But that is still no excuse for such a dirty hotel, I am sorry... The staff was friendly, that was the only good part with this hotel. I definitely don`t recommend this hotel,...

The hotel is a Chinese run hotel when we were at breakfast everything was Chinese related. If a Chinese guest walked in they would offer an egg. I asked if I may have one and they replied no only for Chinese. This is so rude! When I enter my room it is dirty, dusty, the beds are broken. There is...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
