- rooms are old, small and rather stinky. beds are uncomfortable, furniture is old, bed sheets are not always clean, some rooms had ants and hairs in the toilette, rubbish in the wardrobes, hairs and spots on bed sheets, even blood stains on towels!!! Some toilettes didn’t even have any toilette brush. TV sets don’t really work properly, WI-FI: There...

A simple hotel which does a B&B. The rooms are pretty Spartan, but then, you are paying very little money for them. If you just need somewhere to rest your weary head, it's perfect. Very helpful staff.

Small but clean rooms. Good service. Bad neighborhood. The hotel personnel was good and helping. WI-FI was 5€/device for 72h ... and that is something that was ok in 2004, but for 2017 it seemed a bit of a "give me money for the air you breathe". Had room 121 ... don't stay in 121 or 125, the kitchen fan...

I stayed in the hotel from 24 february to 27 february. It's a fair hotel for the price i paid. The hotel is located in the Manzoni area. You can easy walk 10 minutes to the metro station. From here you can reach any important tourist attraction. The reception was very nice and answered my every request with a smile....

it's ok, clean, they change towels every day.. bathroom is very small.. it's noisy - you can hear conversation from another room.. breakfast is the same every morning, cheese, salama, toast, sometimes croissants - if you are early enough.. wi-fi is 5 euros for 72 hours, for ONE device!

Room is cozy but it is not a problem if you mostly sleep in this room after whole day of sightseeing. But it's loud. You can hear everything from the street, even bit louder conversation, and Italoan people loves to use their car horns also during dark night. I think that tight windows with better quality of glass would be...

The hotel was clean. The receptionists were kind and helpful. The room was really small, I barely fit in the shower. Unfortunately the wifi is not free but it is not that expensive and it's fast. The breakfast was good, maybe they should change the variety of cold cuts because there were only 3 types every morning, and one kind...

We was transferred here from our hotel, so the receptionist was nice, but it's real a lot of noise because of train station across the street. The room was small but pleasant. For breakfast we had 1 type of cheese, 2-3 types of meet and some sweet pastry, which unfortunately was cold. Sothe hotel is ok - location is good...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
