I would recommend this hotel if you want somewhere that’s cheap, a bit different and in a good location. It is basic (it was a monastery after all) but clean and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. We were in a quadruple room...More

Considering the fact that this hotel is a former monastery, gives it a unique advantage. But otherwise: breaking is below average, the fridge from the room is empty, easy damaged furniture. It's clean, great view, a real historical venue.

Two friends and I shared a good-sized room here and overall were very happy with our stay. It is an amazing hotel with the basilica literally next door, and to enter/exit the hotel rooms you have to go outside the building for a short time....More

This hotel is basic but it is a converted monastery with a beautiful church (basilica) in the centre of the hotel. The rooms are basic with no tea or coffee making facilities but they do have a fridge. The breakfast is continental but plenty to...More

Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas

There is a restaurant that will actually send a minibus to collect you and drop you off! Food was very good and reasonably priced. We knew it was good as it was frequented by local Italians. Ask at reception and they will... More

The Cemetary is near Piramides metro stop. Head northwards around 3 stops on the A line then around 4 stops on the B line. Very good metro service and nearest metro is 10 minutes walk at San Giovanni.
