Charming hotel. It is located at the third floor of an ancient house in a quiet street. When entering the place it feels like being in a private house or a B&B. Nicely decorated with ancient furniture. The room was nice, very clean, with woodfloor. The personnel is very nice. The breakfast is served in the room, perfect for a...

The Hotel Suisse was just okay. Daniela was very helpful but the other people at the front desk were not. We found their attitude less than desirable. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast delivered to the room was a bit ackward but certainly doable. The location to the Spanish steps was quite helpful easy access to the Metro and...

We stayed at the Hotel Suisse May 22-29, 2005. We found it to be very charming and so close to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The rooms were immaculate and the staff most helpful. Indeed, this hotel added to the pleasure of our trip to Rome.

Our stay was excellent as service and price was ok. Staff was most helpfull especilly from the front desk lady from the Seychelles as well as Daniella. We had a large room (#34) to the street which was quite noisy (as there is a jazz club on the street level opning till late) but our friends stayed in a room...

We stayed here for four days in March, 2005. The staff was very kind, most especially Daniella who had answered my gazillion emails prior to the trip (thank you, Daniella!). The room was a nice size and very clean. The location was wonderful, just beside the Spanish Steps and many shoppes and restaurants. Our room had a shower, as requested,...

Compared to most affordable European hotel rooms, I thought our room was quite spacey. Room to walk around. The bathroom had walk room. I went with my wife, our first trip to Rome. The hotel was the least of our worries. The location is pretty nice. If you have your walking shoes on, there aren't that many things you can't...

My husband and I and 2-year-old daughter visited Rome for our first time in May 2004 and stayed at Hotel Suisse upon the recommendation of my brothers and sister – all of whom had stayed there. After a harrowing two-hour drive around and around the city in our rental car trying to find the hotel, we at last, consulted a...

I went to Rome and stayed in at the Suisse Hotel in Dec. of 03. I loved it so much, I plan on staying there again when I go back to Rome in May of 04. Great place, very nice staff.

We stayed in Hotel Suisse in September 2004. The hotel was the best thing that happened to us in Rome. Immaculant, quet, location is not more than 200m from Spanish Steps. Our room was small, but the washroom was spotless. And the price we payed was 148 Euros, which is hard to beat for that location. We really liked the...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
