An excellent base to visit Rome. Friendly and helpful staff, with clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast is at a friendly cafe a few doors down. The coffee, croissant and orange was adequate to start the day. One tip - inform the guest house of the time of arrival. We arrived and were locked out. We telephoned and the receptionist, who...

My husband and I planned a quick trip to Rome while he was in the area on business. We stayed at Locanda Colosseo for 4 nights. The first night was TERRIFYING. If you have a LATE flight in be sure to tell them ahead of time.. EVEN TWICE! I emailed them and let them know our flight was going to...

The room itself was very comfortable and the staff was accommodating and gracious. However, the hotel is on a very busy street, even for Rome. The road noise was awful. The desk is not staff 24/7 and you must be checked in before 7 pm.

We stayed in the location for two nights. Very clean and nicely appointed for the price. Helpful friendly staff. However, as was noted in other reviews, the a/c was only partly helpful and opening a window was not an option. I'm guessing that the a/c, as in some other hotels, has been adjusted to deliver less cooling in order to...

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel over the summer for 1 week. The room, although basic, was incredibly clean and offered all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The distance to the Roman Forum and Colosseum was fantastic and other landmarks were of a reasonably short walking distance as well. The hotel host Ricardo was...

We were a group of six people, renting three rooms. The location is really good, with easy walking access to all the main sites of Rome. However, we turned the air conditioner all the way down and all the rooms were still hot. It was hard to sleep at night. I estimate the room temperature was about 78-80 degrees even...
