This hotel is in an excellent location! A 5-10min walk from barberini metro station, so it was very easy to get the metro to the Vatican and coliseum... It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the trevi fountain and 5-10 minute walk to the Spanish steps... The staff are lovely, polite and helpful. The wifi is chargeable unless it's included...

We stayed here for 3 nights in August to see Rome before heading off to Sorrento. It is a quaint, old fashioned, charming hotel and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was good and the waitress was attentive and kind. Coffee excellent and the location was excellent as it was right near the Spanish steps. The concierge was helpful with bus...

Just arrived back from our honeymoon, during which we stayed at the City Hotel in Rome's centre. They happened to be decorating for part of our stay, but they did everything they could to Make up for this and made us feel really special. This included the largest breakfasts in bed we've ever encountered. All the staff were really friendly,...

Centrally located in Rome this hotel has allot to offer to the walking traveler to explore the history and culture. Since it is older, there are areas within the room in need of repair such as the flooring and walls. But not so much to deter one from staying there. The staff was pleasant and when asked recommendations about local...

We stayed here as part of a Italy tour and it was our final stop. The hotel is charming and in a fantastic location. The staff are very helpful and make you feel welcome. The room was perfect for what we needed- quiet, despite being so close to so many attractions with a good sized bathroom. Plenty of bars and...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in July. When we first arrived we had trouble finding the way into a hotel as the reception is on the second floor.. The hotel is in a fabulous location a few minutes walk from the Spanish steps and near the shopping area. We had a small but perfectly adequate room with...

A fantastic location between the Trevie Fountain and the Spanish Steps, also close to the Rome Metro line. The hotel is quite old in terms of its decoration and furnishing. However the bedroom was large, well lit, and airy and the bathroom was adequate although there were problems with water draining away from the shower/bath. Breakfast was poor - a...

We stayed at this hotel 4 wonderful days whilst visiting as many Rome attractions as possible. First impression was disappointing as we didn't realise that you need to get the lift to reception and somebody had left the door open on another floor so we had to trek upstairs to send it downstairs for our luggage. However....the room was typically...

The location of this hotel is really good, but overall we were very disappointed. Breakfast was in a very small area and the food choice was very limited. The beds were very hard, as we're the pillows!

What a pleasure this hotel is. The unusual entrance and quaint Victorian lift were just amazing. Friendly reception area, and check in was painless. Our room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very enjoyable. The hotel is situated in a very central area with walking distance to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. A very enjoyable experience....

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
