Anne, my wife and I, took the opportunity to stay here when visiting our daughter who was studying at the university nearby. It was in an ideal location for public transport and bus link to the airport. Getting into the historical centre of Rome, and the Vatican, was straightforward, either by walking or taking a bus. I could not praise...

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. I stayed here during my solo visit to Rome. I stayed in Acacia which is a few minutes walk from the main office. The place was very comfortable and there is a cafe at the main location where you can meet plenty of fellow travelers.

The staff is friendly and welcoming and I felt really at home. You can tell the owners put a lot of love into this place. The facilities are excellent and everything is clean, and it's super easy to get around. They have their own app for restaurants and cafes which they personally recommend and it led me to some absolute...

My friend and I stayed at The Beehive in December 2016 and had an absolutely wonderful stay. We had initially booked two beds in a shared room, but the staff upgraded us to a double room for free! It was much appreciated and actually exactly what we needed. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, the location was...

My wife was a bit skeptical when I told her I booked a room in a hostel, but she was absolutely delighted when she saw our room in "The Sweets." The Sweets are charming and very comfortable. Our room was large, the wi-if was fast, and there was plenty of hot water in our bathroom. As a bonus, our room...

The Beehive is just a stone's throw from Roma Termini; a perfect location, not only convenient to the train, but within walking distance of countless major sites. Steve welcomed us warmly on arrival, explained everything from the in-house laundry to the café. We were accommodated at the annex (HotelUrbe) on our 2nd night, (the Beehive was already completely booked when...

Great hostel. In easy reach of the main train station. Friendly staff, very clean and great facilities (including a great little lounge and cafe to buy breakfast). Would happily stay again if back in Rome.

A fantastic hostel! Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again given the chance. Location: About 2 minutes walk away from the Termini train station. Trains running straight from the airport too. If you don't mind a little walking you can get to just about all of the main sites in Rome from here. About 20-25 minutes walk to...

The staff at The Beehive went out of their way to make my stay fantastic. Not only was the hostel clean and warm, the manager Yuli gave me great recommendations on places to eat, helped me reserve a place at major tourist sites and even unlock my phone! Would definitely recommend for your stay in Rome :)

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
