I stayed with my couple for 5 nights. The location is great, in walking distance of many cool places and the metro station in a calm neighborhood. The room was nice and clean. They greeted us with a welcome bottle of wine and they gave us two bottles of water daily, which was nice. What stands out the most is...

Hotel has extremely nice stuff, willing to help with anything you need to get around the city. Room on the third floor was great, clean, more than enough to stay for few nights and more for sure. The only minus were noisy neighbours, making noise while coming back to their room at night, but that's not hotel's fault.

Good value I thought for the location - I only stayed one night and didn't have breakfast so not that much to comment on. Nice large room but got a little too warm. Could n't open the shutters so needed artificial light all day. Very friendly staff.

My partner and I stayed at Hotel Colors in December, 2016. During our stay we encountered both pros and cons. First of all, the staff were a mixed bag of personalities. Some were friendly and helpful whilst others were unfriendly and made us feel rather unwelcome. Our room was large, clean and tidy with a sink and shower in the...

Good value here. It's a bit outside of the city center but an easy ( ~10 minute walk) to the metro stop Ottaviano, and convenient to the Vatican. As a side note, the Vatican is a beautiful walk from the hotel. Also easily walkable is some of the best gelato in the city at Gelateria dei Gracchi (try the dark...

I stayed at the Colors Hotel Rome for 4 nights with my two nieces. I had room a double bed room with ensuite they had a room on the next floor with twin beds & ensuite. Colors Hotel is typical of the Pensione’s that you see all over Italy, yes there are stairs but that goes with the territory, Rome...

Good value, budget hotel about 10 minutes from St Peter's and 15 minutes from Piazza Navona in the Historic Quarter. The rooms are a mix of en-suite and ones sharing bathrooms. We had an en-suite room - the bathroom is basic but clean and functional with a powerful shower. The bedroom was airy, bright and colourful and cleaned daily (along...

The reception at “Colors” claims that only one key to the six-bed dormitory room exists. The first person to go up to the dorm room is supposed to collect the key from the front desk, and the last person to leave the room is supposed to return the key to the front desk. This system is, as you might expect,...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
